Blues: Man, I'm so pissed. I was at the movies the other day with my friend (girl's name) and right away I ran up to the concessions so I could get some popcorn and a slushie. So I waited forever behind some lady who couldn't make her mind up between a large and a medium drink, but eventually it was my turn. So I order my popcorn and everything's fine, but once I ordered the always-delicious Blue Raspberry slushie all hell broke loose. I guess the geniuses over at Celebration Cinemas had the nerve to swap out Blue Raspberry for the shittiest flavor ever invented: orange! What the hell is that? I know I speak for everyone when I say that NO ONE likes orange -- and I could safely say that anyone who DOES like orange flavored stuff is weird. It's true -- I could give an orange Starburst to everyone here and the only person who wouldn't get pissed is the weird pale guy in the back. It's a really fun story if you get into it -- you can follow up with "I bet you like orange flavored stuff, huh?" as a neg, or I carried the thread on for a bit longer with "Wow, I hate living in Michigan. Guaranteed there's a law in 49 out of the 50 states that says you cannot take away the delicious blue raspberry flavor for something like orange, but since we live in Michigan I guess we're screwed." -Blues |

I love the use of descriptors and not just getting straight to the point, like a lot of people that are used to telling stories to guys and not girls. Learn to talk like this as much as possible guys and don't be afraid to be overly expressive, like when he says, "all hell broke loose!" I would increase the volume and become very expressive, like crazy shit happened. |

Thanks. Yeah, to be a good storyteller you NEED to get into your story, plain and simple. As a general rule of thumb you want to enter a set with an equal or greater energy level than they have, and stories like these are a great way to project a lot of energy. |

A good storyteller can make pretty much anything interesting. And good storytelling skills are incredibly helpful. A girl will be a lot more interested in a guy who pulls out this story than a guy who is like "Well the movies used to have this really good slushie, but they got rid of it. That was lame." No matter how simple the story may be to start with, you can always make it interesting. |

This is an original story but use it with caution, in my opinion alot of girls would get DLV from that story as it shows you may not be as adaptable and complex as they thought if your complaining about a place no longer serving your favourite drink. As well tell me if I'm wrong I didnt see any DHV spikes in there. Not tryin to cut you up man just my opinion |
