I'm breaking through my approach anxiety. If it's night time and I have a wing who is also approaching, there is nothing to hold me back from approaching a group now. I went sarging last night and I recalled something that Mystery said: Quote: "There are two types of people in a bar; the observers and the observed"
People go out to bars for something to happen. They go to talk with their buddies, sure. But they can stay home and talk with their buddies and drink beer. The reason they left the comfort of their homes is because they want something to occur for them to observe. This goes for men and women alike. By approaching a set, you become the observed. Perhaps not by the whole establishment, but at least by that group. They didn't know it would be you, but you are the thing that they were hoping to see. Something to entertain them, to put them on edge, to give them something to talk about. Their beer, their food, their friends, are nothing new. You are freeing them from another mundane evening. I won't post a field report, but I went out with a wing last night and approached 6 sets on my own. (would've done more but even in NYC, Tuesday night sucks) When I sat down with 3 cute asian girls in a bar, their eyes locked onto me and they were pleased that something even remotely interesting was occurring. Before I arrived they were staring at a menu of bar food. Humans are inherently good, they do not want to tell you to fuck off. They want you to be good enough to join their group. A false time constraint and an opener is all you need to get them to listen to you. Happy hunting, boys. |

I can see this as working as a good "opinion opener"

Awesome thoughts. And don't forget guys, Ive seen this alot and had to overcome it myself. ALL SETS want to be opened. 3 dudes and a girl? Open it! make some buddies it'll be fun. Ive ruined a night because I didnt feel like opening dudes because a club wasa 3 guy to 1 girl ratio. So go out, and be observed  no matter who it is.

Yeah, it seems so obvious but people can forget that girls don't often dress up and go out to clubs to be left alone. They want to meet some cool people and have fun. Soo.. you be that cool person and show them a good time. |

yeah.. this is really true! ive thought back to the countless useless nights where ive been out and nothing interesting has happened.. its just like staying at home. doesnt matter what happens, our human nature craves a story or something to make the night memorable! |
