Me and my boy Rich went to a local Chicago pub last Friday and sat at the bar giving off the best alpha male body language we could. We saw a 7.5 and an 8 behind us and made sure not to make eye contact. We talked with other good looking guys at the bar and they concurred we should open the set behind us, they probably didnt think we would :) We acted like we were leaving when Rich said to them "excuse me, which would be a better place to hang out bar A or Bar B. This immediately got them talking and within a minute we were sitting and chit chatting as though we were friends. We didnt give our names, and we showed no real interest. I then negged the 7.5 with the usual "is she always like this" and such. We ended up being introduced to their 3rd friend whom immediately asked us our names and shook hands with a gleam(IOI) They also made comments about how young we were (23,22) they were 28,30. We didnt catch this obvious IOI. Anyway after charming them we didnt close or bounce them. But we had the comfort built up. What would have been the best way to do this? And what would have been the best way to bring the 3rd girl into our set?

good job. i do just that all the time, open, but no further. opening is the hardest part IMO, so i work on it a lot. i think it would have been an easy transition to bounce with them, or just continue the convo to build comfort.

Dude your in chicago. There are plenty of 4 am bars in the city, always know where they are in relation to you. Or there are a ton of diners and cafes that are open 24/7. Or, depending on the season, go to lake michigan to go swimming. In chicago there is never a shortage of things to do late night.

I'll second what Mick said. The 24/7 diner is your friend. Always know where the nearest one is. That is mandatory. :D
