Hi guys, A few weeks ago, a girl came upto me at a nightclub and asked if i had a lighter. Only afterwards i realised that this could have been her attempt at opening me, an ioi if you like. However, all i replied with was something along the lines of "sorry i dont smoke..." thinking about it, ive been asked for a lighter by a few girls now. So my question is what would be a good response, baring in mind i dont smoke! Cheers Enigma |

Get a lighter and just carry it around, or take the chance of cancer so you can stand and smoke with the girl  I love using lighters to open. If i see a girl rumaging in her pockets, handbag etc. Perfect to just walk up and light her up. Then just start talking to her ^^ |

The lighter opener is got to be the easiest, but still a good way to start a convo...plus you can just walk away while your holding their lighter and vice versa. Plus if I ever run out of things to say, I buy time by lighting the cig. |

That's true. I also always carry a lighter and sometimes a pack of cigarettes, even though I normally don't smoke. But saying you want to go for a smoke and thus go to the smoking area or outside is also a good thing to say to isolate.
