OK, hey y'all I'm new to the forums, there is a lotta good stuff on here that I've been using, and it works like a charm, but now I think I need a little help. So I was talking to this gorgeous HB-10. So, on my pof profile I come-off as borderline cocky/arrogant, and she says that's a real turn-off, but I kinda tell her that it's not smart to have dealbreakers, just shrug it off and we get to talking about other things. I ask her to add me on facebook and she does. Then we go on FB chat for a while at which point she says "you seem like a nice guy but I'm really not that interested". She's obviously the kinda girl who has always had guy's chasing after her because of her looks, and the kind of girl who's always put up a bitch shield, which I think this is. To which I replied: "Who said I was [interested in you]? Don't flatter yourself. I created that account to make friends, and see where it goes. I've made a lot of good friends on pof, and have even gotten into a relationship once. Dating would be nice, I guess, but I just wanna hang out w/ cool girls [true, have made many good friendships]. You right now aren't even at "friend" stage lol I don't have any expectations or hidden agenda when I try to get to know someone, but I also think it's foolish to have dealbreakers or limitations. lol but I think the fact that u think I'm chasing you, although I am just trynna make small talk, says more about you than it does about me. You'd be a fool to say you can have too many friends, and people are people, you gotta know someone before you can judge. So let's just talk, get to know each other, and we'll see if we can be friends, which all I want. but let's cross that bridge when we get there." HB10: "You're too rude to be friends with. That is a deal breaker. Best of luck. " Me: "lol "don't flatter yourself' isn't rude, I just speak my mind, if ur so called 'a tough girl' [she had said this] i expect a bit of a thicker skin. lol "if you can take a dick u can take a joke" Her: "Whatever" and then we get to talking about something else, but she keeps on replying to me. Did I fuck up? How to recover? This chick is soooooooooo hot and I got her to add me on FB, help me save this pleeaaaase. My problem is, I try the arrogant/"don't think you're all that" but I don't wanna keep on pushing this chicks buttons for rudeness or her dislike of arrogance, or is it just a bitch shield? Thank y'all sooooo much! Esco |

Dude, she already said she isn't interested. Instead of moving on to show your willingness to walk away as you have better thing to do in your life and million other girls to have fun with. You came back with a backhand comment to qualifying/defending yourself ? That wasn't needed. "Who said I was [interested in you]? Don't flatter yourself. I created that account to make friends, and see where it goes. I've made a lot of good friends on pof, and have even gotten into a relationship once. Dating would be nice, I guess, but I just wanna hang out w/ cool girls [true, have made many good friendships]. This text just shows her that you're just like every other AFC that chased her before who started to neg her to make yourself feel better from rejection if she's not interested. If you wanna use the cocky "Don't flatter yourself" line, then follow it with a witty humor, your following were too serious. That was bad enough already. And then you egged in more: Me: "lol "don't flatter yourself' isn't rude, I just speak my mind, if ur so called 'a tough girl' [she had said this] i expect a bit of a thicker skin. lol "if you can take a dick u can take a joke" How to recover? Stop feeding her attention, she's keeping you on the hook for whatever reason idk, but she has no intention to hook up so far. |

"and then we get to talking about something else, but she keeps on replying to me." If she wasn't interested then she wouldn't be replying to you. If she really is an HB10 then she wont reply at all to all the AFCs who message her and be running on auto pilot ignore mode with you also. So I think you have hit the "hook point" it's just a question of being challenging to her and balancing your cocky with funny. It's cocky without funny which is arrogant. |

OK, so a little update. After posting this, we kept on talking, and she kept on replying. At one point I asked a deeper question about money, and she gave me a somewhat long answer. So she's not completely ignoring me, I think the situation is salvageable. I'm ignoring her all today and tomorrow to kinda show I'm not desperate for her attention. But at that point, I wanna try to rescue this entire thing. What can I say that will be cocky AND funny? SOS lol. |

Uhm cocky and funny is more or less integrated with personal style, and spontaneous based on the situation. I would suggest read up on book that develop your sense of humor, lot of books for comedian out there. But if you look for some canned cooky and funny responses, then here is the link Code: http://www.seductionbase.com/seduction/cat/In_the_Middle/cocky/index.html

Cocky and funny is something you start doing for practice, you start totally sucking until it blends with your own personality, after all it takes no skill. Is not that hard and doesn't take that much time (a couple of months maybe) but you are gonna suck at it until you master it. |
