Basically my messages were getting a bit long. I tend to get a good message, but as I like change a tweak it it gets really big and starts to get a bit AFC. Basically i shortened it right back down, now its like 2/3 sentences and I'm gettin a decent response. Maybe 1 in 6 or 7? Is that any good? I think the ave is 1 in 20 so its like 3 times above ave.

progrock eh? All I know of that was going to Progressive Nation in Manchester. Was awesome, got to see Dreamthatre and Opeth. All sorts lol.
Anyway, I like choices... We're robbing a bank. Which one are you? The shooter or the getaway driver?

The 1st bit was just to show I at least glanced at the page, and then the opener. Stops her having to think of something to say. Allows either a "shooter obv!" or it lts them write an essay on why if they're that way inclined.
I have to say, it IS stolen, the opener bit...
Another one is:
Picture the scene, we're on a plane thats about to crash. There's enough parachutes, but you have to choose one to save with you. The puppy... or the kitten.
You need to kinda calibrate from the profile if they'd take offence to letting animals die... but yeah, I find thats good. Then you can get chatting about why dogs/cats are rubbish, or which one you prefer
