What up y'all; I had an okcupid about a year ago, but deleted it cuz I thought it sucked. I decided to give it another try after viewing a few cool profiles from this site. Anyhow, whipped it up today; honest feedback please? http://www.okcupid.com/profile/riding_out |

My thoughts? 1) Better Images. You need a full body shot and a better pic of your face. 2) Fill in your height. women look at this. 3) Too long. Way too much text. I'd remove at least one of those paragraphs and cut down the last one. 4) Listing yourself as Bi? Even if true, Instant turn off for 99% of chicks imho. |

lmfao WOWWWW...so glad I posted here haha i did not realize I had left it as bi. Thanks for the critiques tho; I'll fix those soon...for the height though, I'm 5'6". I figured leaving just that blank would look suspicious, but I could maybe get away with it if I left a lot of them blank. Is putting no height down really worse than putting 5'6"? |

I leave out the stuff about profanity. Cussing is a DLV I'm pretty sure. At the very least it's not going to work to your advantage with most girls. Yeah, so being unnecessarily crass is not benificial imo. Depends how you work things into social situations though, in a funny way used sparingly. Not presenting it as a defining point of who you are. |

I am currently looking at your profile and the images are enough for her to look at you and see if your attractive to her or not but I'd look into pictures with better lighting in the future(portraits, senior/college pics, ect.) and maybe one with a smile (doesn't have to be your profile pic). Girls might want to know that you can smile and be chill. Your lacking way too much in the details section. That's the first thing I always look at when looking for women. It's like my pre-reqs before even reading the profile. Like if they are BBW ect. I move on. Also do you really make $1,000,000 a year? I put that for a few days but it didn't do anything. I think it only works if you actually look rich in your pic's (nice cars and stuff). Since I'm a full time college student and make under $20,000 a year I just put "rather not say" Put your height even if your short because unless your intention is to date online without meeting in person, she's going to meet you at one point and be disappointed if your misleading and if you provide no details they may just assume your not attractive. Just like I assume girls who put "rather not say" over their body type means they are fat. Because if you were hot stuff why would you be embarrassed about it? I look for Christian girls but if your non-religious put that for compatibility reasons unless your looking for hook ups instead of relationships. Do you have kids? Do you smoke? all this info is lacking in your details. How much education do you have? Did you drop out of High School? Ethnicity? ect. this also helps okcupid find better matches for you the more detailed you are. Yeah your profile is a bit long, I made that mistake too when starting out since I wanted to paint as acurate description about my personality as possible. But follow an example of one of ours on here then edit it to fit you but keep it short since you want to display enough details to get her interested in you but not so much that it takes away all the mystery and she knows everything about you without even talking to you. Don't put a autobiography up there in other words. I think you can leave your books/movies/tv shows and stuff as is since you want to have commonalities. "the word fuck is my favorite" .....lmao....really? That could be a big turn off to a lot of women. And no offense but I'm reading bits and pieces of that long profile of yours but did you have a few drinks on you when writing that? I mean it can come off as funny/humorous but it could also cause a lot of chicks to not take you seriously as well. Also it still says your looking for "guys and girls who like bi guys" I mean if your bi, cool but if not you might want to change that. Also like the other guy said, it could turn off a lot of women even if you are bi. Just my 2 cents |

+1. Your lacking way too much in the details section. That's the first thing I always look at when looking for women. It's like my pre-reqs before even reading the profile. Like if they are BBW ect. Also like the other guy said, it could turn off a lot of women even if you are bi. Just my 2 cents Also; you're DLV HUGE AMOUNTS. Stop it. It makes you less interesting. For example, why would someone want to meet someone with a lack of style? I wouldn't. 2. Don't ask close ended questions like "cuz i"m so hip right?" No. Actually ask no questions in your profile, you're not trying to validate yourself, you're trying to make her qualify. 3. I hate when people say "I've been told that I have this..." regarding what people notice about them. Own your traits, they're yours. Don't hold other people accountable for how you view yourself. It's immature IMHO. 4. why the hell would you be excited about when someone told you about a pipe they fixed? are you that starved for conversation? You need better qualifiers. You come off way to desperate for human interaction. 5. yea, get rid of the profanity bits. it's childish. Be a man, not a little boy. You're 20 for christ's sake. be the man most 20 year olds wish they were. not the 20 year old boy everyone else is. Just my thoughts... |
