I hate online dating sites, the girls I want I can't get, and the girls I get I don't want. I have tried every ice breaker, opener in the book. Nothing seems to be working, now i am a good looking dude, I work out alot, and in person I do great but online fucking blows big dick, SO my question who here has had success online and how did you do it please help me thanks. I just quit drinking and I am sort of an alcohlic so going to bars right now would not be in my best interest. Please help any suggesstions would be great :D :D :D :D

I hear ya, I'm in the same boat. I'm also interested in who has had success and what did they do? I've gotten some replys from openers but I can't ever progress past the 2nd or 3rd message (where I'd usually move it to IM). They just stop replying.

Maybe I need to ask more interesting questions? Opinons ect.? I mean what do you guys usually say on your 2nd and 3rd messages if you get a successful response from your opener?

First off why the hell are you moving things to IM? That is a complete waste of time really and can very well make the girl loose interest in you. You should instead focusing on meeting up asap. Ideally you should be making plans to meet within 5 messages. This means you got her number and/or set a place and time to meet. The less time you spend online the better.

frustrated... by the way.

One question... If you are doing well in person, why the hell are you doing the online dating site thing? Just go for gold in person and open more women..

Honestly if they stop replying you're not stimulating. I signed up here and on OKC and POF on the same day. I haven't had a date in over 8 mos because I had just broken up with a girl of 6 years, I took my time getting back in the game. I've read every post on this forum, I really shapped my profile to be me, but to DHV, qualify, and to make it easy going, and not too funny, but funny enough. I now have girls opening me, easily I've got 8's in my rolodex. (that's right, I'm old school rolodex FTW) I usually get a number after the 3rd of 4th msg, if not i don't sweat it, but I keep it interesting. I use IM's if the girls online after one message, but only after 9pm on a weekday, I don't touch my profiles on the weekend. I set hours for myself, 7-9pm mon-thurs if I'm repsonding, phone calls are usually the next day after 5:30 6pm. 10 minute max (I set a timer, if you go over it cuz the conversations good, cool, if not, then you set your timer to sound like a phone or an alarm and get off the call) So far I've gotten 3 dates, 10 #'s, and probably 20 messages from women interested in me, now discount the ratio of women I'm not interested in, and seeing that I just started before xmas, I've made more progress than I had hoped.

It's all about being direct, stimulating, funny, easy going and making them feel appreciated but comfortable. Run your game, have fun, use formatted openers, but the rest has gotta be your personality.
