Not having any success with this profile. I get a few tepid responses but nothing ever materializes into anything.

What am I totally missing? Be harsh, be honest. I can take it.

It's not too bad...probably the 1st profile I have come across where there is no shitty mirror selfie pics.

1) Your pic is lacking one really good detailed quality profile pic

2) Your 'About me' is boring as hell and is desperate for paragraphs. Try to be more witty, simple and funny.

3) Delete the 2nd pic, it confusing, no need to create competition with the POF girls. If she is your sister, then keep it, but make sure you put a relevant caption: 'My beautiful sister, obviously, I'm not the only one with the looks in the family ;)'

4) POF is a waste of time man, you might get lucky with an occasionally socially awkward single mother. Tinder is where you're gonna get the most results. Keep playing around with the profile pic till you get a sense of which one gets you the most matches.

This website helps too: http://www.photofeeler.com so you can get 3rd party people rating your pics.

5) I know this might sound confusing, but even if you're looking for a relationship, I would switch it to 'Not looking for anything serious' - I personally feel that you give away a lot of mystery and power when you do that, but I wouldn't say it will make or break you. My other points are more of the priority than this one.

Good luck

Thanks so much man. I signed up for PhotoFeeler. It'll be interesting to see the kind of feedback I get there.

How many photo's do you think you need to be successful on these dating websites?

The Declaration of Independence, really now?

Please, delete that ASAP. I get it. You're a history buff, political buff, etc.

You should expand your 'About Me' to actually include things about you.

Take a picture of you playing a sport.
Get one up close of your face, one dressed nicely.

Yeah, I just copied and pasted that so I could get my profile up and running.

I'm also operating on the assumption that pictures are basically 95% of online dating.

I will get a picture of me playing a sport, my face, and a nicely dressed one soon. TY!

Tell me why and they're gone. I need to learn something so I don't make mistakes going forward.

#2 is a bad angle of you, and a weird facial expression.

#4 can't even see your face. And not a good angle.

Yes, much better.
By the way, female here.
I'm iffy on the 3rd one with the bear suit, but some dorky women might dig it, although it gives off that "I'm a super nice guy" vibe.

Maybe try adding a "I'm a suave man" pic.

Here's what I mean:

Not saying go for professional shots, but something that gives off I'm a confident man vibe.
This is a good shot:

It's okay to post goofy pics, but don't go overboard with them because it screams a. I'm a super nice guy and b. I'm desperate.

Just my 2 cents. Up to you.

Yeah, I hear you on that one. I'm hesitant to take it off simply because I have so few photos on my computer right now. I have some work to do so the profile will look a lot different in a week or so.
