Post subject:  Tinder - Where am I going wrong?

I very rarely talk to girls online/texting, however in an effort to improve my text game I downloaded Tinder, seems like a great place to practice, I got off to a good start on this beautiful girl and 5 minutes later I'm stuck. It's not that I care about letting anyone 'slip through' I just want to improve, that is all!

Some suggestions would be great and much appreciated!

Her bio read at the end 'Just got rid of one psycho.. not looking to adopt another one!'

I figured this was a good place to start, this is the first time I've text or spoken to a girl online for months, even though she's miles away there's still a worry of what she's going to think of me, hopefully I can drop this attitude with time.

Me: Hi it said on your profile you're looking for another psycho : - )!!!

Her: Haha yes I am! You wanting to apply?

Me: Maybe.. tell me a little bit about yourself Lima

Her: Well my name's lima, after some footballer! I'm from Liverpool but now live in Leicester and I am a cake addict! Your turn

Me: I'm not a football fan so I can't help you out on that one I'm afraid! I work as a floorfitter, I'm drop dead gorgeous and I have a twin brother

Me: What do you do for work?

Her: I've always wanted a twin and I can see the drop dead gorgeous part ;)

Her: I'm a banker, work for an investment bank as a forex trader

Me: Haha it's fun, at the same time we argue 24/7

Me: Ahh so you're the next Jordan Belfort?

Her: Sounds fun! Do you look alike?

Her: Haha hopefully

Her: Aside from the fraud Ha

Me: That's a sick job though, you're quite an ambitious girl then I presume

Me: How do I send pictures on here? I'll show you the two of us

Her: I don't think you can send pictures on here unfortunately

Me: That's shit, we don't look alike anymore, "are you two brothers" is the common response

Her: Oh that's rubbish
If you can provide me with a few examples on how to improve what I've said, and also where I can go from her dead response? Many thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Hi Venz, I tend to stay away from online dating sites like Tinder and POF. The reason for this is because no matter how much you work on the girls on these sites, when you meet up with your matches in person you will be starting from square one again. Try going out more to clubs to show you're High Valued. If you don't have anyone to go with then look out for AFC (Average Frustrated Chumps) in the club and make them your wingmen. Happy Sarging Venz.

Hey man, I need to practice my text & online game, which is why I was using tinder in the first place, just to understand the way in which I feel most comfortable talking to a girl, while it still being a viable way to have a good interaction. I have no intention of meeting these girls, I'm not ruling it out though. Thanks for the advice

How long has it been since the last message?

You had the perfect opening to ask for her number when you said something about sending a picture. You should have asked and moved off the app to texting. You want to move away from her associating you with the app as soon as you can, and then move from the texting to in person meet up. I think you did well until you paused at the picture sending, that's when you could have moved on to regular texting imo

Bigby- Why is there green writing? my eye's hurt.

Venz- you did great, you just didn't take the next step of getting her number. The next would be to arrange a date, Pretty simple.

Just imagine if there was no such thing as game or advice, what do you think the most common sense thing to do on tinder to get a date? think about that for a second.

If I was to mention a structure of what to do it would be:

- Break the ice (open)
- Get her invested (she asking you questions)
- Ask for a date 'hey, my tinder keeps crashing, would you be up for a drink sometime soon?'
- Get her phone number
- Continue with the small talk and finalise a date to meet, preferably as soon as possible
- Keep it warm till the meet (text her every 2nd day, for example, i would send them a pic of something i cooked with a caption saying 'jealous?? ;P' some basic how is your day chit chat and then stop.
- Then you have yourself a date.

Hope this helps.
