Hi everyone Here's a weird situation. I saw a girl on a dating that I met several times over the years at parties. We had some mutual friends. I didn't talk to her too much in those days (probably 7-10 years ago) but we were both "regulars" in that scene in NYC back then. We are not and have never been friends, just acquaintances, but definitely know of each other. I can't give my usual approach and not acknowledge that we "know" each other and met in the past. Any suggestions on how to do this successfully? Tanks to all. |

Just say hey. Do I know you from somewhere? And you both pretend not to remember each other for a few messages, then you suggest someone you will both know and then you'll vaguely remember each other and then you're in the game. Ask her out for a drink. |

I would just be chill about it, "don't I know you from somewhere?" is fine anything casual you have the right to message her because she is on a dating site |

There is no question that we know each other. I don't think pretending that I don't remember or suggesting that she looks familiar will work. |

You could always say something like: "Well, well, look who else is hard up for a date!" and go from there. |
