Post subject:  Maybe this will help some guys out.

Look, I do not claim to be an expert by any means. I think I'm a little closer to the natural side when it comes to women and that really hurts me online were my personality and looks are shielded by cyber space. I have been dabbling in with the online scene more so lately because I haven't had the time to really get out in sarge properly. I am doing my thing and dating in the real world. But I've kind of taken on this online thing as a challenge to better my abilities here lately. This is what I've come up with that is working really well for me. Maybe you can find something helpful in the rambling.

So, two days ago I went back a rewrote my profile on POF and have to say I am getting some amazing results with this. I have been off and on the POF site for about two years now, and have tried just about everything. This is by far the best results I've had with a profile. Since making the profile, I've had 4 random girls message me unsolicited. And every single girl I've sent a message to that has actually viewed my profile has written back and kept up a conversation. I am only using this on thin/athletic, No kids, Non-smokers with a car and a job who seem like girls I'd actually enjoy meeting. We're not talking the garbage of the O.L.D. world.

Here is a link if you want to view what it.

I was very cocky but very honest. I put my main profile picture as myself and my ex-wife but then wrote a caption that reads "One of my oldest friends, Morgan. I have a lot of female friends). Then I have another with me and another random girl. One where I'm being goofy doing a headstand on the beach, another with my baby brother and one of me with a friend.

Here is the body of my profile.
Quote:
Born and raised in XXXXXX. I moved here to XXXXXX in 2007. I love it so far! Anyways, I'm a lot of fun, goofball status for sure. I know when the appropriate time is to be one and not be though. I'm a professional, in my career. I am passionate about what I do. One of the lucky few to turn a hobby into a successful profession. That being said, I do work a lot. But being top man on the totem pole, I do get the freedoms of time off at my own will. I love being active and outdoors. I have a number of great hobbies that I'm very passionate about. I would like to find someone to share those passions with. I'm on here to hopefully meet some great people and make some good friends. I'm just cruising and seeing what comes my way. Not in search of anything. Just enjoying life. :)

My motto is "Safety Third"
Ahhh... adrenaline rushes... YES PLEASE!
Spontaneous?.... duh.
funny?..... I'm hilarious.
crafty?... like Bob Vila.
sporty?... very much so!
interesting?.... absolutely.
You won't get bored. Guaranteed. Or your money back. :) ............maybe.

With all jokes aside. My profile doesn't do me justice. I am incredibly smart, know what I want in life, more mature than anyone I know (truthfully) I have depth to me. If you can't hold an intelligent conversation with me...it's not going to go anywhere.
I try to better myself every single day. I love challenges and I need someone who wants to grow and learn with me. She's got to challenge me as I will her.
I know the kind of lady I want and need.
If you DO NOT lead a healthy and active lifestyle, we will NOT work out. I'm always trying to improve mentally, physically, and emotionally. If you are not about improvement and making the best of your life, it won't work.

.....If I don't reply to you, I'm sorry. Don't get mad. Just because you aren't RIGHT for me does NOT mean I think you are not good enough. Everyone has wonderful qualities about them. But let's be honest, I can't reply to everyone. I truly wish everyone the best in life. This experience should be fun! Good luck fishin' :)
Now for what I have been sending as first messages. I basically start by looking at the pics. If she's attractive I open her profile. I then screen the bullet points. If everything checks out at that point I'll take a moment and read the profile. I then find a key point in the midst and then add a qualifying question. I'll show you the beginnings of a few here as examples.

This first girl wrote like 6 paragraphs, I skimmed the first few lines of each and went for broke just commenting on how she "went into such detail"

Wow, you went into so much detail. I guess I'll have to get creative with my initial screening process here.

I'm looking for someone who's fun and is comfortable with being a little silly. With that said, you have the choice of Candy Land, Dress up or Sidewalk-Chalk. Which is it? ... And the runner up?

Can't we draw a big Candy Land board outside with sidewalk chalk and dress up as game pieces? Life size Candy Land game...

O.o!

Hooooooly crap! You may be the future ex-Mrs. Robot. The judges just came back with a 10, 10, 10 score. Bravo!

Okay besides that epicly well answered question. Name me the last truly awesome thing you've done. (non-work related)

Isn't Big Red known as the cheaters gum? Such a fitting quote for an online dating profile. Haha! So other than terrible dates to the "big dam bridge". Tell me about the last truly awesome thing you did. I gotta make sure you're really as fun as you sound. ;)

Lol I most recently I took a kayaking class at lake XXXXX and learned how to get back in my boat alone in deep water. I need to work on upper body strength to really be able to if the situation arose. But I'm working on it. :-P what's the most fun thing you did recently?
This girl was on the Meet Me function.

So the site says we found each other attractive. That's a start. Let's see if your idea of fun, jives. Give me an epic Saturday scenario.

Hmm waking up by the beach, then I wanna go sky diving, exploring, scuba diving, roller coasters.. Just gettin my blood pumping all day ;) then relaxing and swimming in the ocean. Then getting a few drinks that night and dancing it away.
I have left all of these right now with them as the last contacted. I won't have time to actually meet up with any for at least two weeks so I figure I'll leave the conversations dead and either see if they try to recontact. Or I'll recontact when I'm ready to set up a meeting. And I'm actually doing pretty well off line anyway so I may not set anything up anyway. It's good practice and a confidence booster at the least.
