Tell a girl when you meet that you have a girlfriend.

You will be able to get away with more shit with her and for some reason to her it wont seem as creepy because you are preselected.

It will make her secretly want you more.

Then later on you can tell her you lied to her about having a girlfriend because you thought she was just another random girl trying to get in your pants.

You can flip the same attraction triggers (mainly preselection) WITHOUT lying by hanging around female friends, and casually referencing both female friends and exes when you talk to girls in conversation.

It's not trolling or even flaming, the answer to my question is because it's lying. The point is that if you can get away with saying one little lie, next what's to stop you saying you earn £10,000 more than you really do etc.

That's a bit slippery slope but there's no point in lying. As has already been said you can reach the desired goal without it.
