Post subject:  New Haircut Theory
Alright, so i will not say i am a PUA, because i am in NO WAY a PUA. However i have ideas. I came up with this randomly. It sort of just came to me. Its also probably retarded haha. But i figured i would see what some people who know what they are talking about think. I am not claiming this is a good theory. It may be great, it may be absolutely horrible but this is it

I call it the New Haircut Theory.

Lets say you have kinda shaggy hair. You go out, and get a buzz cut, and your instantly noticed by everyone who knew you previously. People notice it, because its blatantly different.

Now in PUA, if you take that comparison and put it to your personality. What would happen if you acted like the shyest person in a group setting. Just real shy. Not weird or awkward, but shy. Then after the target sorta expects thats just how you are, you begin to be A LOT more outgoing. Not necessarily weird outgoing or crazy, but just clearly a fun person, a more desirable person. Would they notice more?

What do u guys think?

It only shows you care too much about how your peers see you.


Pick-up is about COLD APPROACH. Meaning you talk to strangers.

Hence cutting your hair won't have any effect. As strangers don't know how you looked before you cut your hair.

really dude, it was just a suggestion that i even said myself was possibly retarded. It was an idea and the forum is about sharing idea's and seeing what others think. I didnt come on here saying listen to me im a master, do this it will work. I dont use this method, it was strictly an idea. Chill. Honestly I believe pua is stupid in the sense that most people take it (That there are all these steps you have to take to get a girl). Inner game is almost everything. Everything else are tips in my eyes.

Confidence, Charm, and Personality is enough to get you girls. If you are extremely well off in those aspects what do you need all the other crap, like DHV stories, and games. Thats what half this forum is, and it may be helpful to people who are starting out and know nothing else, but most of the stuff on here is only useful to beginners.

Oh yea, and pua isnt strictly about cold approach, theres a whole relationships section on here. PUA is about seduction, whether you know the person or not

also if you actually read my post, you would see the name new haircut is only an analogy

Hey, I like this guy. Octave, this is the type of imagination and experimenting that will take you far. And your suggestion in the initial post can actually work. For a while, I was a part of many different type of groups. Political, business, (several different types) academic, athletic, and obviously, several social groups. When these groups/environments collide, it's your time to shine.

Most people actually behave the same way in the night club as they do in the board room. Meaning, they maintain their social position, status, sense/lack of humor, etc . . . But success in the board room does ≠ success in the night club. The best thing to do is to find your most powerful position in each situation. For example: In most business meeting settings, I was typically the youngest guy in there. I'd shut up, answer questions, and do what was asked of me. What do you think happens the first time I ever entertain these suits? Any time a guy goes, "Woh, look at that gir__...." - before the guy finishes the sentence, I'd jump up, approach her, and bring her back to the table. This impression WILL go back to the board room.

The important thing is to avoid arbitrarily being moody so you can just set up your outgoing stuff later on. There's a time when it's fitting to be introspective. . . Take her to the art museum and just shut up, observe, step back, and enjoy. Take her for a beer afterwards and GAME ON. This is the way to show her your full spectrum of your qualities.

It's an interestng theory, about being layed back in social sitautions giving yourself time to figure out whats going on letting people you're there. And then getting it on.

It could do with some refining, but it's alright and certianly something with a bit of a difference to the usual schtick spouted by the new guys of the forum.

Interesting...

I like the theory. Probably needs tweaking and testing... definitely a form of peacocking/calling attention to yourself/conversation topic... If anyone tests, tell me how it goes.

The best part about this guy is that he's not forcing the theory on to us. He holds his ego back. Vaj, no need to be so harsh.

I actually can be quite positive about this. I used to be this type of guy. Like REALLY, REALLY shy. Didn't talk to girls, stared at the floor. But then when I get to know the group a bit I dominated them all. Came out completely as being the leader in the group, comical, sexual and everything. It got me a lot of "attention" but never any actual lays or somekind.

However, now that I know a bit more about the psychology & the attraction factors, I'm definitly going to try it out more. Thanks for the reminder.

I love the topic title, says it all really :lol:

I think it is a fairly simple theory if I'm honest :D but I still liked it, especially your passion towards the idea.

Thing about constantly getting new hair cuts is a lot of people can't carry many different hairstyles and that's why when they find the one, they stick to it for a long time 8)

But if you think of people like brad pitt, david beckham...then these people are constantly recognised for their change in hairstyles and this would be tru with people who know you or have seen you before.

But like I said, if you go in the hair dressers with and idea and come out with a disaster...

i get your point with the haircut man. But i think half of the new-hair-cut effect is that you draw atention to it just by yourself, because you want the society to evaluate your new look.
how would you actually apply the teory? being in a corner looking shy and then aproach a girl with a self-confident look? or how would you do it? :)

I can relate to this 100%
There was a time in where I was really outgoing until I started smoking weed, while I was on weed I would be really mellow, quite and very observant. I would be on this particular buzz for a very long time(since my friends and I enjoyed smoking weed so much) they came to a conclusion because even though I was sober I was still quite, mellow and very observant. Weed changed my personality but from time to time if I havnt seen an old friend in a while I would go back in to my outgoing, fun side. After this experience they thought I was weird, depressed with a multiple personality disorder.

I understand your theory but it can be perceived differently by others
