For twenty-five years, Joe Navarro was an FBI counterintelligence special agent and supervisor specializing in nonverbal communications.

This is a book that goes through Every Body part(hence the title) and goes on to explain what/why someone does what they do. Whether is men crossing their arms, women brushing their hair, or a slight smirk that doesn't look right. Joe Navarro explains it all.

Just to get you interested.
Did you know what the most HONEST part of your body is?

Hands...No
Face... No
Done guessing?

It's your feet... Because your more likely to be conscious of your hands and face, due to early child hood conditioning (Don't make that face!), and from playing way too much Poker, your feet get little attention from the conscious mind.

e.g- If your talking to someone and their legs are crossed while standing, they are most likely feeling very comfortable about what is being talked about.

The book is a quick read, lots of pictures, and very great examples. I highly recommend this to anyone as it will increase your awareness towards people's behavior.

Enjoy!

I've heard about this but haven't gotten to it yet.

Any chance you've read the Definitive Book of Body Language by Alan/Barbara Pease? I've read that one so far, and am wondering how these two books compare.

Thank you for this post.

Looks really interesting read. Good body language analysis is really good PUA skill to know when a girl is lying or when she wants you to escalate.

I started reading this book, it's pretty interesting, the part that analyze the facial expressions is good too.
I really like Paul Ekman, he is an expert in micro expression and he supervise the show Lie to me. Is knowledge is very powerful.

Unfortunately I haven't read the book so I cannot give you a comparison.

RVAIS, while the book is not directly talking about pick up HB's. The tools in the book allow you to become aware of people's behavior both in men and women.

I read the book a couple years ago. It's decent.

Once you've read a few non-verbal communication books, though, they're all broadly the same.

I read one written in the 70s, once. Technology hasn't progressed that much, I think it's just become more readily available in this field.
