who actually welcomes oneitis? Without it, I'm usually so comfortable I don't even care about not getting laid, but then I become a different person the second I get that sick sinking feeling at the sight of a particular chick. |

I'll be honest, not oneitis but some actual real interest iif she is LTR potential. If I'm sober I dont care for about 90% of the girls I am talking to, I'd rather just stay home instead of go fuck them. Every couple months one pops up that I'd actually like to hang out with sober otherwise its just like lets wait for the weekend or I'll blow you off. |

One-itis is responsible for every marriage you see. Its not always a bad thing... but its bad if the girl is a tease or putting you in the friendzone. My rule with one-itis is to allow it as long as I'm actually fucking the girl. But if she is holding out on sex then I'm going to hold out on commitment. |

I'm saying I welcome it because frustration seems to be my best motivation. Doing the whole "gotta stop being AFC" thing every couple of years, then going right back. Was just asking out of curiosity.

I always thought that One-itis was per definition... BAD! I mean, isnt that just obsessing over that one girl that you cannot have. The one that you have feelings for and feel bad because she doesnt return them... So you obsess over the fact that you cannot get her because you have the mindset that there is only one right girl for you in the whole world, or only one that you could possibly have because she happened to smile at you for some reason one day five years ago. You confuse this with love. Which has the same kind of feeling but is actually going both ways. One-itis is not an emotional bond. It is a name for the fact that you cannot admit failure and move on when defeated. |

One-itis is the non technical term for unrequited love. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unrequited_love You do not want this. There is nothing healthy or good about unrequited love. Playher is mistaken, I highly highly doubt that any marriage was created through unrequited love, in theory that very action would signify that it was not unrequited. |

Maybe you do welcome it, a lot of people like playing the pity role, they crave the drama and the 'poor me' sob story, so inevitably they will put themselves in those situations and re-live the same shit time after time after fucking time. |
