One of my more recent sticking points was that girls I would sleep with, after a week or so, would start to ignore me. After some work, I discovered the primary reason was that they didn't want commitment, a relationship, baggage, ties etc, and they thought that I was getting too close to them (perhaps emotionally) - yet this was never the case, it's just that I'm a very kind and intimate person.

These kind of girls just want the sex, comfort, cuddling and any other value you can provide (sometimes money if you're a chode).

So, some guidelines for you to prevent losing girls by being too loving!:

1. Never say 'i love you'
2. In general always avoid the word 'love'
3. Be very careful about the amount of kisses you put at the end of a text
4. Avoid qualifying her after the lay
5. Don't buy or do things for her
6. Don't have serious conversations about your relationship
7. When you leave, make the goodbyes verbally abrupt and meaningless
8. Manage expectations in general by vocalising your stance with relationships.

You might think #8 should be sufficient on its own - and it should be - though I've found with a couple of girls recently that it after a few nights together (perhaps due to me being drunk) boundaries blur and little is clear.

I agree with you.

My idea relationship is friends with benefits. I don't want a woman to be up my ass or to keep me from sleeping with other women... but at the same time I don't always want the relationship to end right after sex.

And/or stop beating around the bush and just tell her "I'm not looking for a relationship right now" before you fuck her.

You probably won't do it because you think it will scare girls away. Ha.
