Hey guys, it's Fixer here!

I discussed this with a few guys in the chatroom last night and due to the lack on detailed answers I decided to post this topic.

Yesterday I went to a get together with some "old" friends. Guys and girls alike.

It's been a while since they last saw me, so I had the opportunity to make a second impression.

I dressed my personal BEST! I decided to completely overdo it! I put on some great jeans, a very nice T-shirt, a suit's coat over it, and great shoes. The colors matched perfectly. I wouldn't dress so well to a nightclub... And I groomed myself as much as possible... I wish I took a picture to show you, but you'll have to take my word for it.

Complete "fashion domination" ! I looked as if I was taken out of some men's fashion magazine. (I really hate to say it openly like this, but I'm trying to make a point)

I got into state and went to the get together. What happened? They responded to me the same way a stranger would respond to me if I dressed casually. I got just 1 compliment from a guy tough...

The time I spent with them went pretty nice, but just because I used my learned social skills.

I'm kinda frustrated... I expected some sort of "bonus" to make my game easier, but everything went so and so.

I'm not gonna file away this "strategy" just because of one "failed' attempt, I will try again in the future.

But seriously, how much do looks matter?

Thanks in advance.

here's your lesson:

Don't expect anything, be thankful when you receive.

Well, check this out: I had this pic on my online profile, normal pic with clothes I use on everyday basis. Then I went to a family member wedding and was dessed really nice. I posted this pic online and now I receive a lot of comments from girls like "OMG! Do you want to marry me?" lol

But anyway, I think looks do make some impact. Clothes not so much. But for example if you're fat, then months later go see your friends with a 6 pack abs and see the difference.

Hey Fixer,

It reminds me of this one I went to visit one of my girl-friends and she brought a friend. I dressed to impress that day and we went out to dinner. Found the friend she brought was hot, so I gamed her the whole night. But for some reason she wouldn't look at me, and both of them didn't dish out a single compliment.

We started dating, and a month later, I asked her about the incident. She said I looked so hot, that she was intimidated to even look at me.
This was not the first time.

I was in the same position as you though, and kept wonder why no one even gave you look good.

I just put this in the "Have no expectations" lesson.

I promise you this though, the girls remembered exactly how you looked. And if their is any interest, they are talking about you...prolly as you are reading this :P

peace

I second the whole "chicks remember everything" comment. I recently went out with this girl I took to prom or some shit....honestly, i didnt remember doing that...but she was able to go into detail about everything i was wearing n stuff. Kinda freaked me out.

Yeah... this is also true. Some girls will feel intimidated if you look utra hot.
Like some 7's and 6's will be like "really? you want me?" when you approach using direct opener.
If you neg them it's fatal and they'll stop talking to you.

Man your looks can be fucked up and your game is tremendous.
Also, your looks can be fuckin amazing and your game is gross.

I don't think girls normally act upon physical attraction/looks. What looks will do is make the approach so much easier for you. If some fat ugly bloke in ill-fitting clothing walks up, he'll have to work a lot harder than our apparently oh-so handsome fellow posters on here

As for the intimidation factor, I find a genuine smile and good eye contact during the opener disarms a good bit.

Physical looks don't matter very much, but can help a bit if you're particularly attractive.

How you present yourself DOES matter. Just don't expect every HB to say "OMG you're SO HOT" every time you put on a clean fuckin shirt.

Exactly, I put on a dirty shirt and girls rip it off, screaming "OMG you're SO HOT!" 8)

Looks do matter, saying otherwise is saying first impressions don't matter. Saying that looks are not everything. Tho they are important enough that one should pay attention to them.

My personal experience: I don't consider myself looking hot but I dress sharp. I think I'm a 6 or 7. As an rAFC, I discovered that if you survive the first 2-3 minutes, looks don't matter anymore. A male 10 can be a jerk, if you are a 7 by looks but a 10 by personality, you win.

Also very funny, I had a business lunch with a women I only knew over the phone. How would we recognise each other? I sayed, "well I'm simply the best looking guy that walks in". When we met, she actually thought I looked hot. A little opinion building helps.

Simple fact you hear about every woman say is: 'I want this and that but I have to be better looking'. If you focus too much on your appearance they'll easily say 'he thinks alot more about how he looks than about how I look'. They love a man who takes good care of himself and looks good, but doesn't spend hours in front of the mirror and of course it's more about how you're wearing it rather than what you're wearing. Being confident in your clothes with a bit of fashion is a big plus.
