Does cursing make guys look Alpha?

I personally don't think it really makes a difference but I know some people who think it does. Actually, I think cursing too much could become more of a DLV more than anything else. What do you think?

Cursing is not alpha. Period.

Little panda is right. There's really no reason to curse when you're so alpha. You're always in control: not just your situation around you, but yourself. You don't get overly pissed off to the point where you have to curse to vent your feelings.

Cursing

Bad character.
Lack of understanding of social skills.
Lack of self-control.
Symbol of an uneducated man.
Symbol of a sub-par communicator.

Don't do it.

generally i agree with the other posts on the danger of overdoing it and consequently turning women off. however if you absolutely feel like cursing it would be beta, if not gamma, not to. i think the goal should be BEING alpha, not going out of your way to SEEM alpha. and i dont feel like limiting my vocabulary according to the sensitivities of women so if i was an alpha i would still curse on appropriate occasion. the REAL turn off is when people, regardless of gender, can't control their aggressions. what matters is the reason why you curse and the intention of your statement. if something has been annoying you for quite a while and you tell someone how the "fucking xy" is "pissing me off" but in a friendly, neutral tone, they will know its not them your negative emotions are about and they won't have to worry about it.
also, if a normally well-spoken person uses cursewords once in a while noone will mind whereas if some caveman avoids cursewords he will still be perceived as what he really is, not respected as an "alpha".

I curse rather often in general conversation, but I'm also in the Marine Corps, where a common greeting is "hey, motherfucker"

I use cursing for humour a lot but recently I've tried to cut it down as when having a conversation with a mate's mam, I realised I said "fucking".

I've always felt that cursing was really a show of lack of intelligence. (Not knocking anyone). But think about that stupid guy in the club who talks really loud and all you here is "Yeah fuck that guy and Fuckin' this and that!". It sounds stupid and makes that person less desirable to everyone.

Depends on the situation. I mean, if the situation calls for a stron emotional display, then cursing might show alpha traits. But cursing to show how cool you are is just being a loser. Tryhard.

Stop thinking about what makes you look cool. Start thinking about what makes you an awesome person and the coolness will come to you!

Yeah, it's unfortunate because I have a terrible problem with swearing and I've had it ever since about grade 1, so it's very difficult to just stop it. At the same time, I've fairly well educated in schools and quite well educated from life, I've got very good - excellent communication skills, I have good self-control and I have pretty good social skills. So basically my swearing instantly shows people that I'm none of the things that I am and unless they truly know me, it creates a terrible impression. Definitely on my list of negative behavior patterns that I'm working on changing.
