Last week could have been my last every sarge....and I am sorry for this! It is not because I have oneitis, its not because I have found true love and it is certainly not because I have lost faith, my faith has never been stronger, my resolve never harder and my success never greater! Last week was the end of the greatest and most successful sarging megathon I have ever had. But the alcohol, lack of sleep and stress brought aboat through work and family life has lowered my immune system and let loose an evil that could have been lurking inside me for an unknown period of time. I am opening up to this community, a community that has given me so much, because I want people to be aware so that they may never suffer the same fate! The lower immune system allowed HPV to manifest intself as genital warts. I am not sure if this is the correct area of the forum to discuss this, or even if there is a correct area but I feel I must open up to you all now! I have read a lot about HPV since the diagnosis and I am currently undergoing SPAM for the warts. It is not known whether or not the body actually gets rid of HPV or whether it only lay dormant until the immune system is low enough for it to re-emerge! One thing is certain, a condom does not stop it. It is believed that as much as 75% of women will get it before they turn 50, and a staggering 50% of people in the western world already have it. It only shows symptoms in 1% of all cases, but let me re-iterate, guys A CONDOM CANNOT PROTECT YOU FROM THIS! As I write this post I consider my sarging over the past 5 years and think about all the great times I had, fantastic people I have met and the stories that have been told. And right now, I am not sure if there will be any more. Is this the final chapter for Kardinal, and the routine regular person behind the mask must now take centre stage and hope he is loved like his sinister, infected counter part. I want you all to be aware that I am scared like never before, as I am writing this now a single solitary tear is rolling down my cheek. I feel as though I am standing on the edge of a cliff watchin my life as I know crashing to the rocks at the bottom. I do not know whether this is fear of thing that is inside me because I do not understand it, or whether its because I am facing saying good bye to a life that I loved. How can I continue to sarge knowing full well that I could be infecting the girls I meet with a virus that could go on living in them for the rest of their lives!! How can I explain to future long term partners that I have this virus and that there is a very high probability that they would catch it if they have sex with me, even if we use a condom. This could well be the lights out on a show where I thrived playing the lead role, the hero, the knight, the lover, romeo, heratio and lear! Its curtain down, and there are no roses being thrown, no standing ovation, just deadly silence as I ponder what could have happened to get to this point. I have good news for you. I worked in a hospital for 5 years and have seen it all. Also i have picked the brains of the top Phyciatrists in them for years. I know what you have and how to deal with it. Read on. The bad news. There is no cure. The cold sore virus (herpes) is just a little bit more annoying down below than on your lips. The GOOD NEWS. The virus is heavily influenced by STRESS. You will get flare ups. Get them burned off. 2 YEARS later they will be back. Repeat surgery. This is the money shot. This does not make you a bad person UNDERSTAND.......... And don't worry about it. Seriously. It is routine to get them burnt off every couple of years. Remember the great person you now are who has the poxx along with 25 million americans. If the moderators feel this post should be moved, locked i understand. |

HPV is a different virus to herpes, it is Human Papilloma Virus, I read a few pages about the differences between the two. There is no cure but your body can supress to a nearly non-existent level. I am having them frozen off but i will remain infectious for the rest of my life |

Really feel for you man. I'm embarrassed to say I really don't know much about this, been meaning to clue myself up on gaps in my knowledge in this department for a while. Would be curious to hear from John if there's any more he has to say. |

I may post a thread on all the varying types of STD'S.(symptoms etc and help groups) What you have is genital warts. The best method to get rid of them is by burning them off. Roughly every 2 years. The doctor nurse in the GU Clinic will use a hand held (like a small blow torch). The result is they will be gone quickly.Trust me. The herpes cold sore virus i refer to does not show up always and you could carry it for years before a break out. (when the immune system is low). Your skin will need a month to heal thats all. It is quite common to pick up other STD'S that go undertected for years. I don't want to SHOCK everybody on this site but back in 1997 the stats for new cases of SDU'S were mind boggling. It has got a lot worse since then. This really is a mind over matter thing. You must understand this. And good health iS VITAL. It would help im sure to talk to others who live with the symptoms. |

I'm assuming you have gone to the doctor? Seriously i have been to the doctor and he has literally seen every inch of me. It makes no difference. He is your doctor. You have a problem which can go away. Although the virus is there, there are ways of reducing the spread whilst maintaining a sexual relationship. It sounds like your not a PUA any more. But a guy that picks up girls. I'm not sure if you understand what i mean by that but the respect is most definitely there. This isn't something that should ruin your life. Another note, i have many problems in my life and have undergone surgery etc. etc. and i know people are much worst off than me. Yet i hate it when someone tries to comfort me and says "you should be grateful you are alive" but do they have those f***ing problems? I don't think so. In england girls are made to have the HPV virus jab. or as they are now known as "the jab" lol... i like asking guys if they have had their jab lolol. make sure this is actually as bad as you think. Because here my morality wouldn't be damaged if i had sex with a girl and i knew i had the virus, as girls have had their "jab". to americans get this jab? |

if you mean a shot....or vacine yes they get one, but its mostly purposed to stop the HPV that can give them cervical cancer |

No I shall remain a PUA, I love the thrill of the chase and I went out last night and just did my usual of enjoying talking to the girls and playing routines with sets. I don't feel comfortable closing any more so I will not be doing that, my morals have got the better of me. However, I have learnt so much that I want to keep practicing the sarge and maybe write down everything I have learnt and developed and all the little games I play so it can be useful to other people. |

Good man. keep searching for the right woman, but don't spread it around. Remember that if you have the skills, you can transfer them to other walks of life and that teaching seminars or whatever is always an option.  I haven't read much about HPV lately but when I did some research on it a couple years back, it was a suspected carcinogen. If it still is, might be worth keeping an eye on all that. |
