This thread isn't about whether mindset is best, you can discuss looks matter vs. look don't matter somewhere else. Make your own thread if you feel like bringing the everlasting discussion up again. People are entitled to have different opinions. Having that said, the majority who use the 'looks matter' are using it for the wrong reasons. And if they are using the ol' looks matter, then why aren't they doing something about it? Get a haircut, sweet clothes, nice shoes. You know, anything superficial that pleases the eye they say is so important. 9/10 it's just used as an excuse to not do shit. "Looks matter and I can't do anything about it".
