Post subject:  How long should you last in bed and can you do it?
Lasting in bed is a big pressure to lots of guys and also as much as the size of their dick, but how do women view it?
The poll above is simple, vote before reading further.


Now, think about what you put. I am sure most of you thought about how long she would like you to keep going and how long YOU last. However, did you think about the real question which is how long SHE can last?

Women have the same goal when having sex as men - to feel great! Everyone is aiming for an orgasm when having sex. For the point of this post lets not think about multiple orgasms or anything like that.

I want you to imagine three situations:
1) You have sex for an hour and have an orgasm at the end.
2) you have sex for 20mins and then she has an orgasm and doesn't want to do it any more and you don't orgasm.
3) You have sex for 10mins and you BOTH orgasm

I assume that the 3rd option is the most appealing. So why wouldn't it be for her?

Option 3 would be the best, but only out of those 3 options.

I can only orgasm when I pound really fast, so during 'normal' sex I can last forever, unless it's been a long time since I've had sex (more than 3 days) or an orgasm.

When I have sex with my girlfriend, I always stimulate her clit while fucking her, if I rub it hard for a while she comes pretty easily, and then I have to stay away from her clit for a couple of minutes because its too sensitive. I can usually do this 2 times before her clit gets irritated a bit and then she usually wants me to come.

I really enjoy the act of fucking alone, the orgasm isn't really an ultimate goal anymore, I like to see her come, the faces and sounds she makes are just as satisfying blowing my wad inside her.

We usually have sex for 30 minutes straight until she cant take it anymore, the 2nd time she's coming she's always like "no no I dont want to come yet I can't take another one" and then when I stop she's like "ohhh don't stop" haha make up your mind!

So uh, we usually have sessions that last 30 minutes. Pure fucking that is, no foreplay included. It really depends on the woman.

I've fucked a girl a few times that would come after 1 minute of hard pounding, she was way too sensitive, when she came, she couldnt handle me inside of her anymore, and I had to eject, always leaving me blueballed (she wouldnt finish me off).

I think I've found the perfect partner now ;)

I don't think option three is the most appealing, I've just had a 4 hour sex session, on/off of course and she came at least 10 times. We only stopped because she started to get sore.

Like the guy above, I enjoy being in a girl even if I don't ejaculate and can only do so by pounding hard, something which I can't always be arsed to do if it's the 3rd or 4th time.

I think this is similar to the girl I've just been with, and I know of two others that I've been with who like a guy that lasts or over an hour.

I don't agree with the way the poll goes.

As long as both partners are satified, it depends on what your wanting, Sure, it can be great fun to go for god knows how long in bed, taking as long as you want, pacing yourselves to savour the time together.

But is that "more" pleasing that the energy you get from fucking in an airplane stall, or trying bang it out in 5 minutes before you leave her place for work?

It's all to do with objectives and what people are wanting at the time. It can be pleasurable to go for ages, but it can also be incredibly fucking boring 7 hours in after the novelty wears off. :P

You gotta remember that it isnt only the old in and out. You gotta make her beg for it, need it, love it. Foreplay shouldnt be rushed. Take your time, oral her without getting bored or neckpain. Finger, without falling asleep. Take your time around the other parts too. Then go for it. Make sure she gets an orgasm. Figure out if she can have another one. Cuddle, increase again, start foreplaying/afterplaying and if you can do it for long enough to get hard again she will love the sequel.

This post isn't about sexual technique, which I think a lot of people missed.
Its about insecurities guys have about not being able to last for hours during sex. The point I am trying to get across, is if you can make the woman orgasm she really wont care if it only lasts 10mins!

Its easy to imagine how these conversations would be different, and what her girlfriends would think of these two guys thereafter. I used to have a rule when I was younger and I literally used to time myself and would not finish for a minimum of 45 mins.

I would keep control and stay constant for 45 mins, moving around through different stuff and even mixing with a bit of fingering/licking if it was becoming difficult. After 45mins I would just chill and go wherever it went, on one occasion for a few hours and on most occassions not too much longer.

Looking back maybe it was a bit childish and i'm not convinced I can keep that sort of pace now. Also if this is a one off girl do you care? Just enjoy it.
However I always think to myself if this girl knows me or other girls i'm trying to Game I need a good rep. Again maybe a little childish but that's my view on the topic.

After a few time i'd just chill but dont think i'd want to run short of 15-20mins.

However I would say it is also entirely down to you and the girl. I've had girls that would be like ok lets give it a minute and go again after we had been going for 45mins and others that after 10mins are already there and are basically hinting towards an end. Pain is also a common factor.

There is no real answer but i'd only really worry if your not making say 15mins.

Does any one here read men's health magazine? But recently I was reading the May2010 issue and in one section there was an article about what women expect and the average woman was satisfied within 5-15 minutes of intercourse, that shocked me. But as I continued to read the article, all it takes is to get her into a relaxed state of mind. I know like alot of other guys I sometimes like to only think of myself but on the occasion I make it my goal to satisfy her. I'm not saying I'm a sex therapist or anything but I'm just throwing out there for all the guys who think that they have to last for 6 hours(exaggeration)...

However, if you have two guys who both make the girl cum and then cum - 1 takes an hour 1 takes 10 mins they are going to have found the 10min guy far more intense.

Lol, pretty funny how many guys on here are saying an hour plus? Haha, if anyone actually was able to pound out women for hours on a regular basis they would realize that it is no fun for either party. I am also pretty sure that most men here can masturbate and cum in a matter of minutes, yet with their girl they are taking over 40?

I think they should have put "Don't Care" as an option on the poll, because that's what I would honestly choose.

I don't think girls care how long you can last. I think the original poster was right: whether it's 10 min or an hour (ouch), the point is to feel good. If you're deliberately holding back for an hour because you think she'll be impressed by how long you go, well... you watch too much TV. If you have sex with a girl, get your nut off, and go to sleep with absolutely no thought about her pleasure, she will probably be pissed; not because you didn't go long enough, but because you're a selfish prick.

Then again, like another poster said, if you don't care about her that much, it probably shouldn't matter to you what she thinks about your bedroom performance.
