About 99% of all limitations are made up. Now I'm just making that number up, but I'm willing to bet my right arm that it is within a few percents of being right, and I'm sure most of you would readily agree too. They're all just made up! It is incredible how the human mind actually creates these barriers for us and we actually allow it to make them.

"There's no way I can get a good mark on this project, I'm not smart."

"I can't do that, I'm not good enough."

"I'm just not a very social person."

"That girl is out of my league, she would reject me."

We always seem to make up these stupid fucking excuses for why we can't do things. We incorporate it into part of our character, we convince ourselves and others that it is just part of who we are, that we are just born not being able to do certain things, and you accept it and move on. You accept that you "just aren't a social person" and therefore don't even try to get past that barrier. You just hide behind that made up fact about yourself - it's a shield you use to protect yourself from trying. It protects you from failure. But you know what? Failure is a part of life. You haven't lived if you haven't failed. Go out and fail, and have fun doing it. Why not get good at failing? Go out and fail for once, you'll only gain experience. And you'll lose nothing.

People have to stop believing their own bullshit. Whenever you experience a limiting belief, whenever you catch your own mind convincing you not to do something, say "fuck you mind" and you go do it. Fuck that barrier because it's made up! That limiting belief is fake, it's a barrier that you yourself have created. The only way to prove this fact is to try something, dare to challenge your own barriers. After all, how do you think people excel? How do you think people become successful, fulfilled, and happy? They push themselves.

There has to be a will to push yourself beyond these invisible and self-created fucking barriers. You have to have that will to prove your limiting mind wrong. Next time you see a good looking girl walking down the street, and your mind says "Shes way too hot for you, she'll reject you, she's busy you'll waste her time, she doesn't want to talk to you" - any of this shit - laugh at your own stupidity, put on a smile, and force your two feet forward. Sometimes this is all you've got - your will to progress and your own two feet.

Do yourself a favour. Stop believing your own bullshit. Push your boundaries. Succeed.

Wow man, awesome post you pretty much summed it all up there!
All i can add to this after going through alot of inner game stuff myself last year is this:
After trying and failing, dont beat yourself up about it! Or start thinking to yourself "arghh, i should have known better!" because you don't know better, if you did you would have succeeded already. Know that you and only you have the power to forgive yourself because it's okay to fail.. Thats where inner growth comes from, if your not failing at somthing your not growing!

Failure is definitely not the opposite of success, in fact they are partners, like SPAM and robin. It's your fear of failure that is the opposite of success.
Failure is a prerequisite of true success, Failure Breeds Success you cannot have success without failure!

hey dude! i really like your post. I was reading some NLP, not speed seduction. Just NLP, and what Bandler said was that people change when they say "I've had enough of this", and i found that to be really true. I guess it's in the same context and we should just tell ourselves. Screw this. i've had enough sitting here, telling myself i can't do it. So i better go out, make some change or talk to that girl.

He he, pushing your boundries?

You forgot that there are also misconceptions that you believe when you dont know what a PUA is. Or what an alpha male is.

These are some "Bullshits" you could live without that people here frequently believe:

Im a bad guy.
Im better then everybody else.
I dont give a fuck about anything.
Everybody have to neg all girls always.
I have to challenge every other guy I meet.

Get rid of those too if you can.

Stay humble and realize you're human. And can do whatever other humans can do aswell.

"If others can do it, I have a good shot aswell"

self-assurance.

Everything you do from keeping you what you want to do is just an excuse.

A really good point here too. I was focusing on the one end of the spectrum, the 'limiting mind', and the beliefs that limit you from doing what you want to do most. But there is another end of the spectrum and you outlined it really well here, with just common misconceptions that we force ourselves to believe. We have to learn to stop being afraid to break the rules.

"I don't give a fuck about anything."

I thought you were not supposed to give a fuck?
Not really...

While I completely agree with the value of the 'fuck it' attitude (see my previous post) I can appreciate the fact that if you don't give a fuck about anything, you are never going to get anywhere. This is the difference between the 'fuck it' attitude, and the 'fuck everything' attitude. The fuck it attitude basically says "fuck what people think of me, fuck what that girl thinks of me, I'm going to make the best of this moment and whatever the outcome is, that's how things are going to turn out." It's all about living in the moment.

As soon as people start saying "fuck everything" then you know you have a problem. If people really just don't give a shit, then how are they going to get anywhere in life other than standing by a grill at McDonald's flipping burgers and hating their life?

The other ones you mentioned are so overused, like the 'i have to neg' one. So many people think things like that. To add to it, there's the common mistake people make with completely overusing canned material. Some people only use canned material. It may work in some cases in getting you a k-close, or even an f-close if you're lucky, but it never takes you farther than that. Once you're dicks been in her, and she wants to hang out again, what are you going to do? Ask her for her opinion on something? Canned material only works for a limited time. Once you want a girlfriend, or someone who lasts longer than one night, you need to stop reciting lines and start improvising and being yourself.

It's not so much that our belief systems forces action or inaction but rather the ACTION or INACTION that forces a certain belief system.

Non progressing people begin with NOTHING. At the moment of doing nothing, there are no particular thoughts that swirl in their heads. The moment they watch a beautiful girl walk by, they just freeze and watch, watch, and watch. It's AFTER this moment of doing nothing that they begin to RATIONALIZE their inaction through a set of beliefs in order to protect their ego. It's dissonance reduction. This is when they tell themselves, "Well, she wouldn't have gone for me any ways . . . Well, I can't really do that . . . "

Simply "believing" otherwise later on won't change much. "Believing" that you can do this or that is a focus on the reasoning behind the act itself. Believing in something that hasn't occurred yet and what you can't logically make a sense of is "BLIND FAITH". It's like choosing to drink an unknown liquid "believing" that it won't kill you.

Why not focus on the act itself? If there's there's an unknown liquid before you and you are thirsty, what's there to believe in? If you want to drink it, you'd ask some people if they knew what it was . . . you'd take a look at it, you'd try to figure out what it was . . . you'd focus on all that was necessary to make sure that the unknown stuff was safe to drink. Once you figure this out and you drink the liquid, you wouldn't need to FORCE yourself to believe anything. You would simply come to an understanding that you took the correct procedures to accomplish your goal.

It's not 99%. 100% of all limitations are made up. Similarly however, 100% of "positive beliefs" are ALSO MADE UP. Thus this is ALSO BULLSHIT. Stop wasting your time brewing up bullshit and start working on a course of action. True understanding occurs automatically.
