Post subject:  Developing a cocky & funny attitude

Im sorry if this has been asked before, but I did search and got like 1117 results or something and nothing about it on the 2 first pages.....

how have you guys developed a cocky funny attitude?
I guess being cocky isnt much of a problem, but as I have understood, you must be funny also, or else its just a big turnoff.
what was your guys strategies to develop such an attitude?
Ive read "how to make people laugh", and now Im usually going through my conversations and try to see where I could come up with a funny answer, but its not so easy trying to find something funny to say, and a really slow progress.... havent come up with anything else to do,just "review" my conversations.
so does anybody out there have some tips for me how to become cocky & funny? thanks

ps. btw, when I have been drinking, I have alot easier to be funny, and to some degree also when Im with my friends,so I guess there is some nervousness or something in the picture.....

(please provide a link if it has been posted before)

no doubt the C/F attitude can be learnt. i feel kinda lucky, for me it kinda comes natural. personally i think it's a result of being a confident guy who is willing to take risks and be bold. i found as more options and opportunities present themselves, the more you can afford to be C/F.

in short, i think if you just keep working on yr inner game, then everything (confidence, C/F) will come 2gether

Teasing will come off as cocky. Use canned stuff if you have to.

I posted this somewhere, but I'll reiterate. Being cocky can be as simple as resting your drink on a girl's head. It's all about giving the impression that you do what you feel like doing, and anyone else can go fuck themselves.

I can't offer any advice on how to be funny. That's one part of seduction that comes natrually. However, what I can offer you is to say that funny and cocky go hand in hand (cocky/funny is actually ONE thing, if that makes sense). Being funny is often percieved as being cocky, and being cocky is almost always funny. For example, I just got an IM from one of my girls:

HB: "QUIT BEING AWAY"

ME: "ok"

HB: "You're supposed to yell back."

ME: "That's abusive, I'd never do something like that."

HB: "What were you doing?"

ME: "Performing heart surgery. You interrupted me and my patient died. Thx."

Teasing = funny. She will definitely laugh if you do it right. Nervousness is definitely part of the issue that you're having. Try not to overdo it with the alcohol. Beyond 3 drinks will not make you any more socially comfortable imo, but they WILL make you less witty and charming.

Hi guys.

First post. :P

I've been working on my cocky/funny for a while, and two weeks ago it worked wonders. Everybody loved me, and I had such a good time I couldn't believe it.

But then, last week something failed. Suddenly all my jokes bombed badly, and I ended up being a cocky asshole instead. And I'm left wondering "What went wrong?"
I know it's all inner game stuff, so what I'm wondering is:
How can I get back to being funny, and not only cocky?

I know it's all inner game stuff, so what I'm wondering is:
How can I get back to being funny, and not only cocky?

First I want to touch on what may have actually "went wrong" in the first place. Is it possible that you attached an expectation of how it should have went, and the reality of it fell short of that expectation? Based on what you've written here, that appears to be the case my friend.

Second, stop looking at it as something you need to "get back." Just like any experience, there are going to be memorable ones, great ones, good ones, and ones that are less than what you would have wanted. Get OUT of the habit of looking at any one experience as an indicator of your skills or worth, and get IN to the habit of just having fun with this stuff. While you DO want to give serious focus to getting good at your skills, you should do it without taking yourself TOO seriously. Back in the Speed Seduction days me and David D. would go to malls and coffeehouses and just try things out and have fun with it. That's one of the ways he developed his "cocky/funny" and I developed my "playful arrogance." When you relax and just have fun with things like "cocky/funny" it might amaze you how much easier it becomes to master it.
If you happen to have (or can get your hands on) the Cliff's List Convention 2005 DVDs, check out my segment. One of the things I spoke of was my experience while doing a stage play one night, and how I allowed the sour expression on ONE woman's face out of the entire audience to dramatically weaken my good feelings about what was actually a very good night. I had good nights prior to that, but that ONE expression from that ONE person made me question my abilities.

In closing, I want you to take ONE thing seriously here: You have nothing to "get back" my friend, because it never left you in the first place. It's still in there and it wants to come out and play. So play.

Be well, and Live Unleashed!

P.s. If you happen to visit Las Vegas this year, swing me an e-mail. If I'm in town and not otherwise occupied, we can kick it for an hour and I'll give you some in-field demonstrations.

i literally looked my self in the mirror and said
"your the f*ckin shit, what the hell do u have to lose? dont let some bitch intimidate you. you have what it takes to get the girl, you are the shit"

learned it from fraternity hazing lol it does work tho at least for me.
also i stopped caring what would happend and i just said stuff to see what would happen and i learned that girls would let me say some really outlandish things as long as i delivered it well. :P

my advice which has served me well is to tell yourself you are amazingly good looking funny witty and brilliant. trust me with this attitude its intectious(in a good way) girls don't know how to act when you are so confident, especially if they are used to guys falling over them. this tactic works i often tell girls you are lucky to be even talking to me and it drives them crazy.

Positive mental attitude it sounds cheesy but its true, if you dont believe you are amazing why would other people.
