Post subject:  Compilation of Stories

Philosophy:

Stories are an important part of our lives whether you know it consciously or not. We have them bombarded at us through the media. Be it from songs, television, or just books- we learn through them. How many of us consciously look to get lessons out of watching movies, television programs, or books. Imagine the last time you actually took the time to take in a story, read and think how it relates to you. Naturally as kids, we get told stories and get the connections very quickly.

As we grow up, we turn to a more fact based approach, where its formulas- tell me the answer attitude. Lectures & research take the place of stories. Now I ask on an actual based approach you may learn through lectures and research- how do you feel about it? Then remember the last time you were told a story by a story teller or took the time to read it. How does that feel?

Take a minute,

In the last one, you maybe frustrated because you actually have to work to get the meanings and answers. It is not something you can read for a fact by fact answer. You may also be enjoying it- and want to go through it deeper for more answers. You may also think: Well this is stupid and a waste of time- it is just a story. In regard to that I ask- how come you think that?

Stories have been a form of education and transformation for human beings since the beginning of time- from the caveman to classical ages to our modern day. The connections are slowly being lost though for the attitude of “give me the research and facts”. Now the question to that is- yes as sufficient as that is- do you REALLY learn something off it to a point of transforming yourself with an epiphany?

It is no question society at large has grown lazy. People much rather get answers off others than take the time to find and discover the answers in themselves. Stories give people a choice of taking the time of finding the answer in them selves. When one chooses to work for it- they take responsibility in that that they will get only as much as they put in.

“Give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish feed him a lifetime”- Chinese Proverb

The whole point of this article is to teach, YOU the reader to fish all I can do is guide you. It is your life as a whole- your responsibility. To give you an answer is too easy- no one learns from being told an answer. Not on a core level- to a point of transformation and epiphany where it is life changing. If you choose to take this journey; I can promise your not going be the same- that’s only if you stick with it and see what these stories really mean.

Pratice:

With the above said, the practice is relatively easy. Just think: How does this story relate to me. Further what is the meaning to me? How do I feel about the characters and their experiences? How come I feel that way? What experiences in my life can I relate to this story? The stories are very deep yet rather simple. That is contradictory and paradoxical, someone may say. In relation to that I say, Yes and No. :) These stories if you really put the time in and dig, will unbury gemstones and diamonds-which we call Life Lessons. Whatever you can relate is correct. However, all the stories below have a core truth to them and an action which can be used practically right away.

Thanks for them mate, they're utterly amazing. I hope you have an awesome time at school, and a great time in the new city =]. Also, thanks for working through one with me, it was fantastic.

One last question: What was the name of the yoga you mentioned? It's slipped my mind and I didn't write it down =[

To everyone: Try to do at least one, they can honestly make the hugest difference. I did this one this morning and I have felt more relaxed and tranquil all day, and it's given me a heap to think about. I know that if i work at it, there'll be an awesome paradigm shift for the better. I strongly urge you to attempt this!
