Post subject:  Do you feel Ashamed for being a PUA?
I used to hide the fact that I was a PUA. Because I was ashamed. I realized that I would never be happy if I was ashamed of myself. How do you guys feel. Would you be ok with the world knowing this secret?

This is the dumbest question I've seen on the forum, why would you sign up for a forum if you are ashamed of what you do?
Are you also a member of the forum for "we who look at ourselves in the mirror while we masturbate"? :D
No seriously man, being able to call yourself a PUA is something to be proud of, treasure it!

there's a big difference between telling someone you're learning PUA, and telling someone you're a teacher of PUA :)

How about telling someone your a man?

This whole pua thing is a joke aaaaaahahah..

it's really pathetic because it limits a individual to a role.. its like your a blender or a toaster, instead of a general house hold appliance..

Telling women your a pickup artist is tacky as shit, and thinking your one is equally as tacky and damaging.

I think just be a man, be open to information, learn, apply and live!

No, I do not feel ashamed of knowing social interactions. I had to ask me a question not too long ago about how it feels to know how to 'steal' a girl from other guys, just because you can. And I ended up with the conclusion that this is the real dilemma for me.

I made a pact with myself, if I see a guy talking to a girl and getting positive vibes from the girl I will not interfere, because if I was put in that situation and another guy came and stole the attention I would feel sad. And I don't wish other people to get that feeling, unless I see that he has no chance with that girl.

So basically it comes down to a simple question, how would you feel if someone who have studied pick-up came and stole your girl?

"Don't do to others, if you don't want them to do the same to you."

Gaming girls however I believe is a privilege for them, considering meeting a great person is always good, even if they have studied the arts of satisfying girls, lol.

Now thats interesting! Why would you be ashamed of being interested in psychology? Cos pua is nothing but psychology. I respect people who have taken the time to learn something that they are interested in, and so the same applies to people who are into PUA.
I’ve been asked the question ‘ Do you hate puas for what they actually do with women?’ a couple of times. Well, from female perspective (if the girl is willing to think a bit before judging and hating) why would I hate a guy who has spend hours (days, years, life time) just thinking, analyzing, reading, how actually the women’s psych works?
Of course there are many out there who call themselves PUA and who have no idea what the whole things is about. I am not talking about newbies, but about people who spin the things in such a way that they make it look ugly and just a way to get a woman in ur bed… for these guys…I just feel sorry

No it has nothing to do with psychology.

If it had anything at all to do with psychology, people wouldn't go half insane by applying the method.

This Industry in general, (in general) has a perverted view on life and people, in order to appeal to individuals who have some obscure viewpoints on what they consider reality... or --- it applies to people who have a unstable, unrealistic view on life, which allows the bridging between their world, whatever that world may be, and the real world. In essence, they are taking their un natural thinking to the real world. So you have these world of warcraft people who absolutely love this industry :)

if i had to put it in genres, id say a pickup artist applies acting skills, such as line delivery, routines, methods, comedy structures, bridges, cold reading, and masking. There is also hypnosis involved, and a tremendous amount of immoral, un natural behavior... which if attempted will lead to SOME results, at a very high long term psychological cost (once the bridge is build, going back and rebuilding it becomes a nightmare).

If you take 10 people in a room, only 1 will understand how to master the structured method, and apply it appropriately. And out of 100 people, youll have about 8 who master it and 2 who excel and switch over to being truly natural. The rest of the remaining 90 people will be all over the place, half of them will have gone no where within a times span of a year, maybe two.. and they will be making excuses as to why their progress is going nowhere, whilst the other half, will be in the middle of somewhere and nowhere, getting results but at the same time not steady results, many flakes, yet they will lie to themselves and do all sorts of weird things to justify their standing, whilst inevitably living a very unstable life.

Oh and the 8 people who master it become outright social robots, and completely loose sight of the fact that they are human.

So I understand if half or 1/3 of this forum feel ashamed or somewhat embarrassed.

You can justify your actions in this industry, lines, hypnosis, whatever, but after the dirty work is done, can you justify your humanity? will there be any left?

Results are great, but at what cost in the long term? and what are the alternatives to get better results without the consequences?

Moral of the story, choose what you want, a natural approach or a structured approach early on! Be smart about it!

It absolutely has everything to do with psychology. Don't post bullshit before you know what it is based on.

Pick-up is greatly influenced by the behavioral psychologist F. B. Skinner for instance, with other central figures along the lines.

Behavioral psychology, is learning and perceiving your environment, then interpreting it and all the incoming variables which allows us, to interact with that environment, and even modify it.

Now Is natural pickup influenced by psychology, yes, sure.. is what I'm referring to... (mystery method & Structured PUA pickup) influenced by psychology...NO! (Calibration is not behavioral psychology, nor is it the natural way to deduct and reason within a interaction by natural means... its a mere way of identifying patterns, and responding based on further patterns, strictly limited to the scripted dialog in memory, hence its not natural and thus has nothing to do with psychology)

"PUA", as the guy says in the first post, meaning "pickup artist", so we are talking about a subculture of people with a structure involved, that grants them that rank. This rank and culture was invented by "Mystery" and thus we are not referring or talking about the natural act of attraction OR pickup, rather the sub group of people, their idea of "pickup" and its consequences. Read my post! I clearly say method.

wooo thank you, couldent have said it better myself. but i would also like to add what makes a pua a pua? taking advice on how to pick up women? what guy hasent done that at some point "just go talk to her if you like her" "noo" who hasent ever heard that conversation?
