the cocky funny seems to be going srong... the girls think i am too arrogant... im a pretty good loooking guy but not brad pitt... should i be more serious/cheill????

Some girls think I am arrogant, others think I am just a fun interesting guy to be around. I have only ever had two girls tell me I was so arrogant it was irritating, that I should be more down to earth.
I guess it is about finding a balance.

correction: your cocky is going strong.

Add more funny - then chicks just think "wow, he's REALLY sure of himself, but he's so funny I can't take my eyes off him"

If a girl ever tells you that you're arrogant or up-yourself, say something like: "It's called confidence, and it's why you're so attracted to me."

yes but it seems that some of the guys at the bar that are doing pretty well arent try to be so funny and witty, theyre just talking to them in a chill way, but then again they could be getting no where... BTW i actually meant it was going wrong not strong lol

Then what you meant was the cocky was going too strong.

The same rule applies.. you're not being funny enough

If you're going to be cocky, you have to make it clear that you're still fun to be around.

As for talking in a chill way.. they might be using different techniques.. you asked about cocky funny :)

I recommend reading up on the various styles..

try them out in field as you go and then decide which one suits you best.. or rather which one works best for you.

Sorry mate, no spoon feeding here.

There's plenty of info in the forums for you to browse through and if you can't find it here, check out google.

There's also a newbie guide that has a bunch of really useful info in it.

BE RELAXED ALL THE TIME! BE COCKY AND FUNNY ALL THE TIME!

I get alot of positive comments about me because I have a relaxed personality. I don't get stressed or narchy. I just chill out, get comfy in my chair and wear a smile.
Do that.
And at the same time remember that you are the man. That girl in the corner that just looked at you? She is so into you. Will you give her a chance? Perhaps. But not yet. For now you have a funny joke to tell. Except you do not introduce it as a joke, you introduce it as a story.
"Ha you will have to hear what happened to this guy I know!"

Hell the other day I was in conversation with a bunch of people and we got on the subject of old people. I had a joke I wanted to make so instead of saying 'Hey I am going to be funny now look at me'
I just said (whilst leaning back in my chair sipping a bev) "Ha yeah old people are crazy. I was just down the local nursing home the other day and this buddy of mine Harrold, he is like 97..." and went into the joke.

'na na na....arrogance is when you THINK you're good.....I, on the other hand, KNOW im good, thers a difference.

slick I had the same problem for a long tim! Because i am like brad pitt status haha jk...sorta;) , but girls thought i was an complete asshole, i was so cocky and sarcastic, i tried being more funny, but i couldnt make it work, so i started making fun of myself in a fun way while still being cocky funny, which i think if your good looking, your sorta unapproachable and girls put up major defences with you, so you have to make yourself less intimidating, and i have found its a major dhv when you do it (be confident when you do it though!) It might be a humbling thing. Thats my theory anyway, it might not work for some, but it does for me. What do yall think?
