Anyone who uses a movie quote, without it being obvious your quoting a movie (so pretending its your own words) WILL get caught out and WILL then look idiotic. |

MANDALS the whole point in "using" a movie quote if its good is first to look charming/interesting which if its a good quote you should. and second impact if they know the line and "catch" you on it you win again because it was a good movie, and good placement for a quote if they catch you dont play it as you came up with it... have fun be clever enjoy the interaction or go home and cry. |

Of all the ways to bring up a good movie, quoting it isn't so great. Why not use your own words. Unless ofc you are quoting a movie because it make sense in the conversation (like your talking about the movie) then just putting them into your sentences will make you look insanely try hard/obsessive about movies. Its like using a routine, sure you can recover if you get caught out, lots of the time you wont even get caught out and will look really cool. Eventually you will run out of lines - what happens then. |

I actually quote movies a lot. There's an old saying that goes, "Someone else has already said it best, so if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong." My taste in movies is pretty obscure, so I either won't get called out, or if I do we'll have instant rapport because we rarely meet people who like the movies we do. Win win Your boy, 870 |
