Hey guys I don't have a story of my own to tell yet even though i discovered the community about half a year back. I want to start a new thread which will let people know how you discovered the community and to inspire those who are just starting out and also to let everyone know how far you have came(if you don't mind sharing that is) I kinda got desperate and asked a question on yahoo.answers which was something like "how to get a girlfriend ?" and someone recommended watching VH1 the Pickup Artist. Since then i bought Neil's book "The game" the one with the Challenge in it which got me very exiting but haven't gotten a number or a kiss close yet using his techniques |

How far have i come in the community? Well i would have to say a long way with a really long way to go. I started out life with just one main friend that i spent all my time with but because of my emotional problems caused by my parents, i started to bully this poor kid it got to the point where i was arguing with him every day and making him cry (this was when we were like 8 ) and it was over the stupidist things, thinking back to it he was pretty messed up too. Then i was plunged into real life away from security and for the first time in 11 years i made new friends, really good friends i respected and enjoyed the company of. Things were going great and i was pretty popular. we all know life cant be that simple I was forced from my home by my parents and i moved south to the middle of nowhere now i was completly alone and completly lost. i had no friends little social skills . I messed up as soon as i got there i got into fights, i made bad passes at girls, i made myself look desprate. Was it all for the better when i discovered pick up? I was now sifting through tons of material, concepts and ideas laid out by "pick up artists". i started learning the fundamentals and i pushed myself beyond my limits that i had before set out. i was now sitting at the back of the bus. i had stopped talking to my old friends and created a new social circle and i could handle immature pricks better than before and without knocking their block off. I can talk to random strangers with little fear at all and go to any public place with little to no anxiety(which is a big improvement for me). I can now talk to girls which i could not do before(i even have a few girls im friends with now). And many other things but the main thing is that im so much happier with my life. sure im not out there every day "picking up women" but im activily trying to improve my life. As for pickup as a whole you could view it as no progress because i have not got a girlfriend yet but i feel acomplished as i have managed to stabalise my crumbling life and improve it day by day Hope you enjoyed reading. (As an added note i discovered the community through hours of searching online, theres no pick up artist show in england and i had never even heard of vh1) |

In theory my life has become awesome every part of my life is sorted and yet all I want is to look after my plants (not weed, asshole) and drink tea alone at home. |

In my case, the community found me. I think the reason I teach guys how to go beyond the game is because I have always attracted people. If you live in certain parts of California you probably have seen me in my underwear when you are driving. I am the guy on the billboard that your date stares at. Don't sweat it. Go ahead and just tell her that I am gay. You won't be the first. People say that I glow. I credit it to all the healthy hours I spend having random sex. |

I started out in a committed relationship with a girl I'd been with for several years (hb8). Bad shit started to go down between us and I cheated on her with a total hottie (hb9, no shit). I was lucky enough that AFC worked on this babe and I closed without really knowing what I was doing other than setting up a date. Anyway, after that me and my gf got back together and went back to the same bad shit that was going down before I cheated. One day I found a book on my friend's shelf. It was Style's book. I'm not sure exactly why I asked if I could borrow it and read it, but I did. I couldn't put it down. I was enthralled. Being a scientific mind I found the ordered approach to pick up fascinating. With something like this I could accomplish what I had never been able to do before (short back story, I was a geek in high school and I got into a serious relationship early in college). So I started to apply a little of the social game to my life and BAM! I was getting invited to parties, getting IoI's, all sorts of goodies. I hooked up with an mPUA who happened to go to my college who's well connected (connected enough to get a call from Mystery /drool) and he taught me a few really cool techniques. Currently, I'm still struggling with cold approach, but if I have an in at all with the girls I'm gaming I can run MAD C and do pretty good S. Since I've started hardcore (past three months or so?) I've F closed 3, number closed a dozen, and approached many. For me, pick up serves one completely selfish function: to land the girls I fantasize about and make them want me with everything in them. I love it, and I'm only getting better. Breaker |

the funny thing is I already figured out a lot of stuff on my own before I discovered the game. But this forum the game and everything else it encompasses definitely help boost my self growth even more. I learn to stand outside my comfort zone which in turns makes me a more confident, amazing person. I learn to excel in things I love and screw all the haters. I tend to show them up anyways. I love my self so much and I crack my self up. I am a bad ass even if a lot of people don't think so...they just haven't realized how bad ass I am yet =]. I am currently working on gaining more social proof because honestly that is the best way to go if you want 8's,9's and 10's. Work on your self and you will attract the girls. My goal in life is to become the most amazing man I can. I want to accomplish things and push the limits. I came from being suicidal and depressed. I used to think of scenarios where I just wanted to die and was very morbid on the inside. I came from that and learned from that and look at me now..everybody used to say I'm not confident blah blah blah...now the same dudes can't even go up to a girl and talk to them. I can assure you I have the biggest balls out of my friends.. probably too much..but I don't give a fuck. Because you know what I will find people who will like me like that. I'm a great person and hardworking person and that's all that matters. This has definitely been a journey through inner game and I still have a lot more to go! |

6 months ago, I was an extreamly shy, unconfident guy, who was depressed. 1st read the game 2 years ago. I wanted to change my life then & started tried but quickly lost faith gave up after about a month. In retrospect my biggest mistake was I was ashamed to tell people in my life what I was doing & that I was trying to get this handled & better myself & had no encouragement. 6 months ago from a combination getting word a hot girl I had a big crush on thought I was attractive, a buddy saying he was reading the game, & having a partner I was able to talk with, & my other friends being exposed to the VH1 show where I could talk with them, got me motivated to get me back on my journey. Since I have devoted hundreds of hours reading & watching seminars on everything I can Basically everything I could find pick up related & every spare minute I had was studying for last 6 months. What I found is while the material is useful as a guide you really just have to get in the club & teach yourself before you get it. Mystery method & routines originally gave me confidence in the lines to get to try, & in a way I didn't get mean blowouts, but eventually I think you come to realize it's all about inner game confidence & body language that really open doors & that just seemed to click about 2 months ago. 6 months later everything about me is different. How I look, walk, talk, life outlook, etc & for the better. I got on a health kick as well & lost 30lbs & beefed up my muscles. I walk into the club or through life like I own it. Best think I have ever done. Got so much more to accomplish but I got momentum now. My advice is study it all as a guide but focus on inner game reframing beliefs & body language above all because that's the key IMO & really the most rewarding & life changing personally as well. Start working out cause it goes hand in hand felling better about yourself, & tell your friends what you are doing. If they don't encourage you & want to see you do better they aren't your friends. Be prepared to lose them though. I've had to cut one friend out too who says I'm a manipulator now but I thinks jealous. Misery loves company & I changed. Sad thing is he is the biggest AFC I know & would benefit most of anyone I know if he would have listen to me. It's about life improvement, & mine already has if I didn't progress another step. |

I love the fact that every time I think about how far I progressed I think wow i'm so far but than 3 weeks later I think Wow I know so much more than back than Its not that I learn very much new things in those 3 weeks but I just keep getting happier about myself. This is also my great motivation because the feeling that you are now happier than you was 3 weeks ago just keeps you going! |
