Just be honest

good stuff, i was actually afraid to see the results, i posted on a forum where something like 48% was under the age of 18, couldn't take it serious after that

I didn't find these results particularly surprising. I'm in the 26-30 category (27) and I had suspected that I'd end up in the older quartile.

which is perfect, not to bag on 14 year olds, but i actually take into consideration some of the advice that goes on in here, and to be honest i cant see a 14 year old having allot of field experience

Age has made me wiser but I probably have less relevant field experience than some teenagers. Okay, granted, I'm a fair hand at long-term relationships, so I have something to offer, but on the other hand, it's pretty humbling to be one of the older members of the community and yet have as much to learn as many of its youngest members.

Yup its strange how its such a leveler for example I assumed all the mods etc were much older than me (21) but most people on the forum are around my age, if not younger.

That is so true. How can you take the advice seriously when you find out most of the people on the forum are under 18. They will have no experience in pubs/clubs and prob most of their gaming is done at school/college. Not really the same as out in the real world so to speak.

I would say that 80% are teens and the rest are still students. It is pretty obvious to me.

Funny thing...started something along those lines in this topic here...

there-must-be-a-limit-on-age-for-pickup-vt43017.html

I think that most of the "elders" won't really post and add info as much because they are in fact working/schooling/kids/MLTR/old enough for clubs etc....so the older they get...the less active they are in the forum posts and chats anyways...unless they are paid to do so of course.

Hence the reason there are so many youngsters posting most of the time.

It is so weird finding out peoples ages on things like this. When someone gives you good advice you naturally expect them to be much older than you. But when you see them saying that there only 15-16 then it is very difficult to take anything they say seriously.

This thread makes me laugh when people say "when they are younger than you its hard to take what they say seriously"... so just because some of the smartest people in the world are doing cutting edge research in theoretical physics at 15, all the other scientists should ignore them?
Also why has this whole "game is different at different ages" thing sparked up again... yes there are very slight differences but just as most men no matter what their age same the find things attractive so do women.
Don't get me wrong, there are some people under 18 here who are naive at best, but there are also a lot who know what their talking about.

This is the sort of attitude WILL hinder your game and many aspects of your life, if it was good advice why the hell should it matter who it came from?

I had a more of Wow! feeling...rather than not taking it seriously. I think this lends itself to the old saying of "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"...but it's untrue of course...the older dog though, must be willing to learn.
