This is what my first impressions were at first. And after reading his thread about " are you a pua?"... I just thought, jeez this guy is a complete wanker. However, I thought to myself, how do i justify this train of thought? I mean, he has come up with some pretty constructive criticism (more criticism, than constructive at times Divinity mentioned that, there is no in between in being either an afc, or a pua. Well, there is my magician friend, it's called being an RAFC. i'm on my journey to evolve and become a PUA. This also leads me to my next quest... I've recently taken on a vow of not drinking, i'm going dry for the next month, and it's through this vow, i have realised my sticking point, i've used alcohol as crutch and an excuse to go up to women in a club, way too many times, and I can feel it's hampering my ability to become that charming guy when i'm sobre. And when i'm sobre my AA in club is paramount, and i've realised i haven't really overcome it, if I continue to use alcohol as a crutch when out in the field. So now, it's newbie mission time... I'll need your help guys on this one (specially you the king), I'm going to need you guys to set me a list of tasks, no matter how ridiculas, no matter how left field it may be, this mission is to get over my AA. Possibly it would help if you can modify some of the tasks, for the aussie environment. However if that can't be done, go ahead and post your idea anyway, this is for all the rest of the RAFC's in here too, if you find that you're in a similar position by all means, jump on board my quest for evolution... what have you got to lose? Cheer's guys... PS: The king, no offence intended... the subject title was to get your attention... i now understand where you're coming from champ! |

NO ALCOHOL??????? But.....but.... why? Alcohol has been the social lubricant used for ages. I dont have a problem really sober or drunk. Everything is alot more fun when smashed though, and it gives me an excuse to say whatever I want. To each his own good luck with that. |

Lately I have been walking around and neg'ing women left and right. See I use to suffer from "nice guy syndrome" so every now and then I go out and squash it out myself. Whenever you neg a woman for no apparent reason some will generally try to gain approval. This makes it easy because they are now on your terms and not theirs. This is good in a way because you can't really lose anything. |

I think drills are dumb, they work, but they are dumb. Take some time, sit back by yourself, and think. Think of why AA is the most irrational fear you've ever had, think about how not conversing with women limits your life. Think hard about the reasons you have AA, and then think hard about what would happen if you didn't have AA. Realize the stupidity of being afraid of women. I mean, drills work too, but just really, think about it bro. |

In my eyes there is no such thing as a Recovering Average Frustrated Chump (AFC). If your a recovering Alcoholic, there is still a chence you can fall by the wayside (The Hoff??!! lol). Even years down the line. SO, whats a recovering AFC?? being an AFC is not an ilness, its a life stage, a state of mind. When you turn 21 are you a recovering teenager? When you get your first shag are you a recovering virgin? Your either AFC or PUA any other mindset if you ask me is for folk that fail in the field so they can say .. "awww well..im not really PUA anyway, im a rAFC." As for no alcohol, dude thats just silly, BUT and i gotta sa BUT if thats what YOU need to do to keep your game tight then you do it. Dont just do it cause Mystery and Style says so. "Dont worry about the world ending today, cause its already tomorrow in Australia...unless you already live there....hehe. .." |

" As for the alcohol however, it's a two part thing, it's inner game for me, i'm trying to shed more weight, i've been on a crusade to trim down this winter, to get ready for summer, and it would help me be able to run out more games of football, it's not easy having to carry a whole heap of extra fat on the park, I've lost 8 kg's in 10 wks. So that's my motivation for going dry. I find that i'm more witty when under the influence of a straight up red bull, rather than a red bull and vodka, i think the women can understand me better LOL Meth, i'll take your advice on board, but i'm just trying to do something out of my comfort zone, to rationalise what it is exactly, that's causing the AA. See why, and what is motivating me to go up to a woman or even a complete stranger and perform the task. I work better when there's a goal in mind, or there's an external influence, such as a cash bet, to do something completely out of character for me. If i find out what that is, and isolate it, and eliminate it from my behavior, I think i'd have a better chance with my game, and creating my own feel for things.... |

Doesn't the '"R'AFC" stand for 'Reformed AFC'? |

ALLLLLLLLRIGHT!!....... here goes nothing (im a bit pissed right now - so may not make much sense - but fuck it) first - congrats on recognising that alcohol has become an excuse for your lack of confidence/ not approaching women etc. I have seen many men sit back and not approach and say 'oim just here to have a drink' or, after a couple more etc. this is bullshit excuses.... there are a few things you need to do to get over you AA. one qeustion i must ask .... have you ever been told to get fucked? or fuck off or anything like this. Any PUA worth anythinhg has been told this. And the great thing is - its no where near as bad as you may think. Being tolds to get fucked means nothing and feels, if anything - invigerating. Cause it means you can handle it and keep going.... all i can encourage is to approach and talk. BUT - it doesnt have to start, or limit yourself to the club. i remember when i started. to practice i woulod walk into clothing stores and game the chicks there just to practice. now, they are paid to be happy and friendly - so keeping a convo with them is easy, but - they are generally nice and friendly people - so the insecure wall of the girls is broken down already. this question actually leads into inner game - your self confidence and total mind set is what is stopping you and every other player. It will produce results in time. There is no trick, pill, or activity that will let you get over it. just increase the level of interaction. If you think, ill only be outgoing in a club - then your focus and limit will be within this envoro. you need to practice in ALL environments. BUT - if you really must have a challenge. set yourself goals when going out ie - approach 10 people in one night (notice i said people - this may be mixed set, 1,2, or 3 sets. at least your approaching.. im too drunk now to make sense - sorry - ill check this again tomoz... oh - and i forgot to be a prick...... um, fuck off and dont apologise!!! your showing DLV, even to me - thats something else that needs to become common to you.. |

I am a newcomer to this community, and I will exercise restraint. I have skimmed through all of this guys postings and have come to the conclusion that he talks a good game. This does not mean that he is particularly successful in the field. I find people who are overly critical of others,(as opposed to offering support and advice) to be inherently poor company. He demonstrates a clear lack of empathy and understanding when he adds his nuggets of 'wisdom' to other peoples threads. I hesitate to use the terms sociopath or narcissist, but to those of you who are well versed in the psychological tenets, and who are able to analyse patterns of communication will see clearly where I'm going with this. Unfortunately the nature of internet forums dictate that certain individuals are given license to create, for themselves a fantastic alter ego. they then, over a period of time attempt to dominate the community by patronising and often demoralising their fellow members. This is akin to bullying and should not be encouraged. If he is sooooooo good at sarging, why is he so often hunched over his keyboard, picking holes in other peoples contributions? |

i dig the whole good cop bad copp thing though. he might be a little abrasive at times but if he didn't back it up with helpful insight, he wouldn't get away with it anyways. his contrubutions are ultimately for the greater good. he's alright in my book. |
