Hey guys, as some of you know i just moved to SoCal (San Clemente). Im about an hour from San Deigo and slightly more then an hour from LA. Im in search of some nice, affordable, cool venues as close to me as possible. Im willing to travel out to SD and LA on occassion but what im interested in is places closer to me that would offer a decent nite life. Bar's, Club's, Lounge's whatever as long as its not a dive, but its still affordable. I dress much like in my im avatar when i go out, so i am interested in places where that kind of fashion fits in without breaking the bank. I have asked 2 friends here and they both said theres nothing, which i find hard to beleive...i live right off a Marine Military base and i cant imagine there would not be bars in the area...but so far from my little trips into the city of san clemente i have yet to find either a strip of bars or a single bar for that matter. I would really appreciate any help, advice, or recommendations for cool venues in the area. Thanks. |

Because your times are off. From Can Clemente your a good 2 to 3 hours away from LA, and a good hour and a half to San Diego with no traffic. As there is everything from free to if you have to ask you can't afford it. Tho you may want to look into the day life as you are more likely to find more to do in your area than at night. A good place to find out what is happening is on the OCRegister website. It has a calender of dates and times of various things.Quote: I have asked 2 friends here and they both said theres nothing, which i find hard to beleive...i live right off a Marine Military base and i cant imagine there would not be bars in the area...but so far from my little trips into the city of san clemente i have yet to find either a strip of bars or a single bar for that matter. I don't know San Clemente that well, but that doesn't surprise that there is nothing there. As the city is more artsy and what have you. Question what are you looking for bar wise? Do you want a downtown type of thing or just any bar/club? And as far as the Marines goes, they more than likely head into San Marcos or San Diego.Quote: Thanks. Your welcome.
