Susan: "It's because it's what you love, Ricky. It is who you were born to be. And here you sit, thinking. Well, Ricky Bobby is not a thinker. Ricky Bobby is a driver. He is a doer. And that's what you need to do. You don't need to think. You need to drive. You need speed. You need to go out there, and you need to rev your engine. You need to fire it up. You need to grab a hold of that line between speed and chaos, and you need to wrestle it to the ground like a demon cobra! And then, when the fear rises up in your belly, you use it. And you know that fear is powerful, because it has been there for billions of years. And it is good. And you use it. And you ride it; you ride it like a skeleton horse through the gates of hell, and then you win, Ricky. You WIN! And you don't win for anybody else. You win for you, you know why? Because a man takes what he wants. He takes it all. And you're a man, aren't you? Aren't you?" Although this scene comes from a comedic movie... I don't think I have read any better advice for how to be a man... Apply this one concept to women and you will be ahead of 99% of PUA's out there. Movies are movies. Hollywood has yet made anything that will improve you as a person. Rocky always had some cute lines about fear. That too was a Hollywood creation. The more you fight and struggle to get something the more your worth as a male will be eroded. Life isn't about fighting and struggling. The energy you give off with such a mindset will chase people away from you. No wonder American men put up with so much crap from females. They are always fighting and struggling! Don't fight. Don't struggle. Don't even allow those thoughts to creep into your head. Just go with the flow and have patience. Let life take care of itself. |

The best thing in there is the message of stop thinking and start doing. It is SO easy for people to read all this PUA stuff and go out and think about all of it and try and think of ways to get it all into their conversations and think of all the ways to use kino and think about the IOIs and THINK if they should kiss her and THINK if they should escelate the kiss and THINK how they should get her to answer their calls and THINK they will somehow get her back and THINK she is just teasing about the retaining order and THINK getting her arrested is just last min resistance and THINK (ok you get the idea)... Life isn't in your thoughts. You can't live it in your mind. You have to do what feels right, you have to be in the moment and you have to DO things and not think them |

So basically your trying to say, that going after what you want is a low value thing to do? And we should just wait around for life to happen to us... floating down the river like a boat with no ruder... I challenge you to find one thing of significance that has ever been done without someone going after it and working for it. Waiting for life to fall in your lap is the lowest value thing you can do. |

Low Value? The real world isn't about defining everything according to your frame of reference. It is about being who you are. Quit living your life through a frame that isn't your own. No, you are the one who is just floating down the river. I am suggesting that you become more aware! Once you do that you will quit struggling with your doubts and fears. Life isn't about struggle and fear. At least it shouldn't be. |

Life isn't about struggle and fear. At least it shouldn't be. Well actually your 'accidental' inventions only started that way... then someone had to take action... if you need penicillin now how do you get it? Do you eat a piece of mold covered bread? Or did someone take charge and do what was needed to achieve a better result? BTW if your still eating the bread, maybe you should check out America... we have pills now And you were the one who brought up value... you made the claim that if you fight for things it will erode your worth as a male. I wonder... do you think that people like Gandhi, Martin Luther King or Jesus Christ had their worth eroded because they fought to their last breath for what they believed in? Your the only one who said anything about fear. I am advocating a disregard for fear, standing up and going after what you want and what you believe in with vigor. How is that not having a ruder? You sir are suggesting that we must let life take care of things and not direct our own paths. This brings a famous quote to my mind which says "If you fight for nothing, then nothing is what you shall have." |

Both sides of this argument have valid points. In terms of achieving happiness, it's kind of a toss-up. Some would say that if you allow yourself to just go with the flow and accept yourself and things around you for what they are, you'll be alot happier. But this concept is being applied to a) picking up women and b) being a man (in i guess a stereotypical sense but that's what being a man is). Anyway for picking up women, of course you have to actively pursue women. Of course with the pick-up arts we learn how to make women chase us, but we are conciously putting this plan into action and working at it. The girl of your dreams is not gonna hop on ur pogo stick while your just chillen at McDonalds one day, minding your own business. Also with money, your dream job is not going to fall onto your lap either. Money, power, anything that we as humans (by instinct) feel is valuable (which will also aid in getting women) have to be worked for! Being a man is about going after things. Its laughable to argue that you will get places you want to be in life or reach any kind of goals without working at it, unless you are exactly where you want to be with everything you need at your disposale (rarely the case). If you want to be a man in the purest sense, then don't think, do! On second thought thinking's good too. But thinking without action is a wasted life. If that's your ticket to happeness then best of luck my friend but if you want to pick up women, get ur shit together because if you don't run your life, who will? |
