After scanning the forums a bit, I've noticed a number of people have suggested that they DO NOT leave voice mails for girls. This has made me curious. And thus, the poll! NOTE: If you suggest you do not leave a vmail, please explain why and what you do if the girl doesn't respond to your missed call. A minor poll. |

i'm assuming this is the first call right? if not and you've talked to the girl before i can't see why you wouldn't leave a message. but if it is the first time, i text first. actually i text within a day of getting a number just to keep me fresh in their mind. when i am going to call, i text a little banter to remind them of who i am, where we met, what we talked about, and bust their balls. i end the text thread by telling them when i am going to call then i call. if they don't pick up, i don't leave a message. after all they have my number and know who i am from caller id. leaving a message is too try hard and plus i hate talking to machines. |

Interesting. I'm wondering about implementing something of that nature into my game |

For those of you who are polling anything other than "leave one every time" how do you procedurally go about it? When she doesn't return the call, do you wait two days to call or what? |

From a female standpoint you should always leave a voicemail ESPECIALLY if you are calling her for the first time. |

YES!!!! You called her for a reason!!! If I get the voicemail then just say something simple! Like who you are, tell her you had fun, then extend an invitation...ohhh and if she doesn't have your number or if you know your number is private then it's probably a good idea to leave that! Just take a deep breath before you leave the message...make sure you don't talk too fast...speak with confidence! |

Voicemail costs money on some networks, well it does on mine, the girl might have a contract or PAYG mobile with no credit to listen to there voicemail. I wouldn't leave a voicemail unless I knew them, some girls will act as if they now need to reply to your voicemail by voice (calling back), which tye don't want to do. Leaving a text message for them is just as simple and effective, they will get the message when they are free and can respond if they want to. |

Another thing, there is no need to leave a voicemail on someone's cell phone especially if all you are going to say it that u called them. They can see that you called from their missed call log. I can see if u are calling her home phone cause some people dont have caller id thing which keeps track of who called during the day. |

I would have never expected so much disagreement on this topic. |

Personally I never leave a voicemail, I feel it is impersonal. If she wants to speak to me she will call me back, or text saying something along the lines of "Sorry I missed your call, I was doing [enter activity here]", then I will bust her balls a bit about how compared to me said activity has no real importance. - SC |

whats the point of a voicemail if you are just gonna say " hi its just me"??? she'll already know that you called from the missed call display. if you have to leave an iportant msg then thats a different case. |
