Post subject:  psychology books?

i've noticed that there's a fair amount of people on here who seem to have a background in psychology...
can anyone recommend a few books for a beginner?
preferably ebooks because it's unlikely that i'll find any good books in my local bookstores...
cheers

I read a good book, it's not an E-Book though.
It's called How To Win Friends And Influence People, by Dale Carnegie.
It's got PLENTY of interesting stuff, it's easy to read, and it makes you look smart when you have it on a shelf!
There's a chapter on the power of Apreciation, you should check that out, ther's lots to learn.

People watching is a good book again not an e-book but contains everything you will ever need to know about body language although most is simple once you grasp the ideas.

sweet, i'll have a look and try find them...
i was actually thinking more along the lines of REAL psychology... i want to understand the way people think and stuff. or at least attempt to try understand people.

I have started reading into NLP and it actually teaches you a lot of useful stuff. The most useful thing I learnt from psychology is recognizing motivations, as a rule of thumb most people won't do anything unless their is some motivation (money, status etc) figure out what the person seeks and everything suddenly becomes simpler.

An audio set that David Deangelo strongly endorses is The Psychology of Achievement and Success by Brian Tracy.

It really is a great program and can definitely enrich your life. I highly recommend it to get your foot in the door to psychology and self improvement.

check out "last lecture" im in the process of getting to it. its a top seller. about a psychology professor who was diagnosed with a life ended disease. and how it changes his outlook on life.

i just got an ipod nano and you can download college lectures and lectures in general for free or very cheap. listen to it while doing some cardio.
