a theme park.
maybe not the most creative idea in the world, but it's a good start. if things go well, there's lots of places to sneak off. it's hard to let conversation lull because there are so many things to do. plus, you're likely to have fun and she is too, and she'll associate a good experience with you.

My personal favorite is feeding the ducks at a lake that is about 5 minutes from my house. It serves two purposes, firstly it puts me in a great mood (don't ask why I just find ducks hilarious) and secondly it is always freezing which leads to hot chocolate back at my house.

oooh----good one, jaybot!

along these same lines, i think a great location is a small park. nothing puts you in a fun mood like swings! and it is interesting how quickly one's defenses are dropped when they've fallen into a semi-regressive state..remember being younger? at that point, hands on your back pushing you on the swing wasn't a cause for concern, rolling around on the ground with someone was natural feeling, and getting dirty was the ultimate goal. all of the suggestions above have that same feeling of bringing back some of the joy of being younger!

some more 'grown up' locations i enjoy:
*bookstore (you're never at a loss for conversation or props, and most people have loads of time when they go there, so they're not in a rush)

*museum, music store, etc--any place where you can show off your 'expert power' and DHV (just make sure you know what you're talking about!)

*marketplace (or farmers market)--a bustling location with lots of opportunity for people watching

hope this helps, good luck!

definitely one of my favorites. most bookstores also have a coffee shop either inside or attached, and that's a good way to focus your attention on each other.

1. Shopping for clothes. Lots of fun, try things out... ...I once made out in a changing cubical, that's something to think on.

2. The park. I give alot of girls lessons in martial arts, if enough comfort, ground fighting.

3. Coffee, simple enough, free to bounce around.

4. Train station, take a train journey, build some memories. Huge experience traveling somewhere new with someone you are attracted to.

In all honesty, if your out and about, keep your eye's peeled for good spots, nothing says "lame" like having coffee at starbucks for a day 2, go find an out of the way place. Or a stylish tucked away cocktail bar.

Ultimate lesson to creating compelling day 2's, know your enviroment!!

Ugh... the grammar of this title almost kept me from replying...

Now that that's done with:

Find something you enjoy doing, and bring her along.

One of my personal FAVOURITES is paintballing. If I have money that is. If not, then I'll teach her to skate if she doesn't know how. If she does, then just cruse around on some longboards. Baking is fun too.

yup baking or cooking together is always a fun thing to do, bit of a strange one to use as the main event but definitely worth doing
