Facebook creeping is what ive been thinking of writing stand up around but ive never really written much of it. It really depends on your audience

Recently I've been doing alot of stand up. And this is what I do when writing material.im warming up for some dude at our local spot, and Ive never done this before... So can someone help me find some thins to talk about? See i was thinking something about santa... but idk.... ive never done this before im going to be up there for 10 minutes then it'll switch to the next warm up person. any help? anyone else done comedy befoer? Write a list. Well Four lists, do it now. Make a list of problems you have in your life say insecurities. A list of things you love, and a list of things that anger you and piss you off. And a list of everyday things that you find strange. Eventually you'll learn to do this in the middle of the day, you'll see something, and immeditaly start thinking about how to put it in your routine. Good luck man |

Talk about: SEDUCTION; creepy guys, AFC mistakes, cheesy dates, bad sex life, dream places to have sex. then turn and talk about; WOMEN; how complicated they are, how they react, they say no and they mean yes. MEN and PRIDE; how we behave like kids How we both are different; what we talk when we are together and what they talk when they are together, etc... watch videos, be energetic, find some good jokes and learn to tell them. Create a story behind the joke and then deliver the punch line. See every joke as a story where you have to build an introduction then a body a big climax and a conclusion. |

Well its for 18 and up.... even though i'm almost 16, I told them I just turned 18. I was really thinking about talking about insecurities, but how do I deliver it to be good? Like.... even if I have a story, how would I make it good? |

ACT... make a lot of facial expressions become the character, change your voice tone, make pauses to create tension but not too much. |

Depending on your style and your willingness to please the audience; Dane Cook ? Steven Wright ? George Carlin ? or do you do like Denis Leary: Copy Bill Hicks Here's a comics joke; Why is Denis Leary more famous than Bill Hicks ? -Cause there's no cure for cancer. (note for the public; Leary's breakthrough act was a show called "No Cure For Cancer", and was a complete ripoff off off Hicks' material, down to almost every joke.) -Sorry for sounding like Comic-book guy from the Simpsons. but here's a thing What's the weirdest thing people do ? Do you want to fuck with taboos ? consider what energy-level you feel the most comfortable with. I think that's all my cents. probably not, but I'll only end up repeating myself, and since I don't care enough to go back and correct; here's the end. |

Read Stand-up comedy The Book by Judy Carter step by step instructions to develope a standup routine. but, FIN provided good advice. most stnadup is about observations of normal things and doing a twist on it. |

Whats the theme?? Stick with the classic. Tension. Build up nerves and suddenly release and spill it, like a bowl filling up with water and over flowing. Advertise it as a tense stand up, and go through the situations where it may be. Sexual tension would be a great one im warming up for some dude at our local spot, and Ive never done this before... So can someone help me find some thins to talk about? once you have it written, be sure to practice on people. I think it was mystery who talks about comedians. An amature comedian will make a joke with his friends and everyone will laugh. He then goes to use it in his stand up act and it flops. He doesn't understand why it flopped, but regardless he throws the joke away. A professional comedian will tell the joke and it will flop, and he will continue to tell the joke in different ways until he starts making people laugh. So practice your jokes, make sure people will laugh at them. Relax and you'll do great! |
