Sometimes you know just what to say, but it comes to you just a bit late.

Later is way better than never.

So this year, I want to thank YOU. Yes, I love my family and my friends, and my cute-ass engineering genius sweetlove girl, but you are important to me.

It is a blessing, a goddamned blessing, to be able to share what I've learned in my life, and take what most people would consider a crazed obsession with women (girl-crazy sounds much better, eh?), and turn it not only into a business (which, trust me, is nice... I don't ever find myself wishing for the days of hour-long commutes and longer days stuck in a cubicle pretending to make my 15 minutes of real work per week look more like 40), but into a real mission.

Because of you, and what you want, and what you are willing to do, we are changing the world.

See, everywhere I travel now, I end up talking about the fate of the world. My friends in the States want to talk about whether or not this country is ever going to right itself. My friends outside the States want to talk about what the hell went wrong. And I understand all their points about politics and empire and reaping what you sow, and I do believe that America is still the greatest living experiment in history. The future is yet unwritten.

But there is something YOU can do to help write it. You can insist on living a better life. You can demand something better for yourself than settling in to a job that leaves you unfulfilled, and relationships (or lack thereof), that leave you unhappy. You don't have to settle for anything. You are an individual and you decide what you want for your own life. No one, no teacher, no parent, no church and no anonymous internet guru can tell you what makes YOUR world a good place to be.

That, my friend, is all up to you. As I've said many times, women are a sign that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

And confused. And turned on. And frustrated, and crazed, and blissful and nuts, all at once.

The drive to understand women is really nothing less than the drive to know ourselves, and our humanity. No matter how close you get to another person, it is a basic law of nature that two bodies cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

But what matters is that we try. That's all. We try. We keep trying, no matter what. We move forward, warriors of the soul, poets of the cock, with a smile on our faces and big balls clanging like church bells between our legs.

We are the future, and we are the answer. If everyone you knew had a great sex life, who would be left to fight? If the tyrants had a loving woman to make everything good at the end of the day, why would they need more? The violence in Mumbai reminds us that there is a real anger in the world. People who have nothing, and feel that their something has been taken unfairly, will fight and create their own morality to justify their pain.

You know the feeling. When you see a dude who looks like a total douche walking around with what looks like a great woman, you feel that murderous impulse somewhere down deep as well.

But that's all just an illusion. We are all put on this earth to find the partners, the lovers, who make us the best versions of ourselves. None of us are chumps, or losers, or AFCs. We are all the products of a long, long line of people who somehow managed to not only get laid, but turn that into something even better: a future beyond themselves.

What do you want for your world? What do you want to be? How do you want to act? How to you want women to act? Do you want them to be bitchy and cold and dismissive? Do you want them to need trickery in order to "give it up?" Do you want to keep fighting the fake battle of the sexes?

Or do you want, yes, Peace, Love, and Understanding. Cos, to paraphase the great Elvis Costello, I don't see what's so funny about that.

Love. Fun. Sex. Passion. Peace.

That is what the future holds. I feel it, I see it, and thanks to you, we are creating it. So this year, give thanks to all the things that brought you to this single moment, all the missteps and stumbles and hurts along the way, because if one single step had been different, you would be something much less.

The world is still full of guys. But not you, my friend. You are something better. You are a man. And for that, I give Thanks.

Love,

Sean
