This has happened to me a few times; I'm getting hot and heavy with a girl, making out, and then when I go to reach for her pants, she stops me and says she's on her period. Should I assume that this is LMR and try to continue normally, or should I believe her and let the pants stay on without objection? I can understand that at times, both of these answers could be true. Maybe she really does want to continue, but she's embarrassed by her period. So what I guess I'm really asking, is: If I think she's lying, how should I play it? I would love a female opinion about this, because personally, I think it'd pure evil to use your bodily function as an excuse to escape from escalation. Just be honest! |

This is a tricky one. It really is hard to tell, there are times girls have told me they'd come home with me but they were on their period and we still got together after that. There is one girl I know who told a guy she was on hers because he was being an idiot and she just plain didn't want to, so she figured that'd put him off. And she was right. I guess it all depends on the girl and the situation; I think it's best we get the girls input on this one. My opinion though, is that it doesnt matter if it's truth or not. This kind of thing is either mentioned because she is uncomfortable or of course if it's true. If it is an LMR tactic, don't sweat it. You can't plow as with other LMR stuff so just stop and talk to her until you fall asleep... you might wake up later and get to it, or maybe in the morning. Or you might have to wait till next time. If she's telling the truth, ditto... patience is a virtue. |

I have never personally used that excuse as a lie...but I have used that excuse. Let's face it...that is gross and do you really want to be proved wrong? No! haha Just accept it and wait a few days then try again. |

If a girl tells you she is on her period, then sex is out of the question. Think about the psychology behind it. Most of the time when entering sex, girls will say things like "I can't" or "we shouldn't." They are saying things like that because they are not comfortable yet with you and do not know your intentions. They do not want to feel like sluts by giving it up too easy. The kicker is, that they most likely do want to have sex. Remember that LMR tactics work because the girl wants to have sex with you, but she isn't comfortable yet. If a girl says she is on her period, she probably is telling the truth. She would only ever lie about that if she really, really wanted to cross sex out completely. If she lies by telling you she is on her period she doesn't want to have sex with you. If she doesn't want to have sex, you can't make her, even if your LMR tactics are amazing. So either way, not a going to work. Furthermore, if she is lying, she can't change her mind about sex because she will be feeling self conscious about that lie. She might be feeling awkward because you are still pushing for it even though she told you that she's on her period, and may mistake you for a weirdo. And yea, like Bonita said, do you really want to be proved wrong? Just respect her privacy and set a date for a couple days later. |

Every girl needs to learn about the sea sponge trick. No messes during that time of the month, you can even go down on her and it's not a whole lot different from a tampon. Boil it in hot water and then stuff it up there. That's what porn stars and other women that can't let that sort of thing affect them do. It really does work, this isn't a bullshit wives-tale. |

I remember there was a video on some video website a couple weeks back where a porno chick left the sponge in for too long and it dried up in her. It was pretty stick because no one knew about it until the guy started to go down on her and smelled something nasty.

I think this does occur more often than not... sometimes the girl really will be on her period but you just never know, unless you keep up with her cycle (which would be kind of strange). Like Bonita said, it's better to just believe it and not be proven wrong. I've had this happen to me once when I was in S1 and the girl was like " I really wan't to but I can't", I was hoping it would be something else that I'd be able to overcome, but she let me know it was that time of the month. The girl was an 8 at best and luckily she was telling the truth because next time I saw her, within seconds we resumed where we had last stopped. |

Im with bonita on this, it sucks though as I have lost the momentum of the interaction in the time it takes to see them again so have lost out with a few women. |

If this is LMR id rathr you find out than me. Ive had girls say it to me before - but i dont think that any of them were lying. If she is using it as LMR then smart girl - there is not many excuses that get better than that. Try a couple of days later. V1V
