| Post subject: | The most Important thing about Pick Up |
Recently my game improved a lot. I’m happy and satisfied with my life in many aspects. Also, there has been a lot of buzz about guys dropping out of the community and having little or no success. I think thats really sad. I’ve been helping out some of my friends, and is funny how people can make simple issues complicated. I think that I’ve learned a lot about inner game, If pick up was just like any other career, I think that inner game and mindsets would be my speciality. I read about Buddhism a while ago, and honestly I forgot most of it. But there was this thing I remember: buddhist people belive that there are several ways of reaching enlightment. You could meditate a lot, get it tru good karma, or finally, the cool one: you could have it here on earth. If you change your view of the world you can achieve enlightenment. That was pretty much it, but in the book I read it had prettier words and something about a lotus. Probably you are wondering how getting “new glasses” can help me get chicks?, well, actually that very concept can help you with anything. Lets talk for instance about aproach anxiety. You are insecure, you feel like crap cause you are not talking to her. You have no girl on your arm and had no sex in quite a while. Maybe you even think that you are not attractive, and you don't know what to say. But wait a fucking second, why I’m here if it is going to be torture? Most guys give up at this point. But I’m not like most guys. I started thinking why do I want hot girls in my life. The answers were really interesting. I wanted a hot girl friend to rub in my friend’s faces, to rub in the faces of girls that rejected me. I wanted guys to admire me. I wanted all that to feel better than others. None of those reasons included “I want beauty in my life” or “I want to be my best self”. That hurted my game cause I really wasn't doing things because I wanted to do them for me. Besides those were not the healthiest of motives. Then I remembered what I first thought the life of a pick up artist would be like: Fun. You are supposed to have fun in bars and clubs. You are supposed to have fun picking up women. If it wasn't fun anymore cause I was thinking about game and trying to “get something” from girls, then something must change. I went sarging on a Friday a couple months ago, with some people I just met a couple weeks earlier. I don't know the exact reason, but my new view point of the world has a lot to do with it. So, that night I felt as comfortable as if I were on my house, with a beer in my hand wearing dirty underwear (thats my idea of perfect comfort). I wanted to have fun, girls just didn't were an issue anymore. I really enjoyed it, and I totally rocked that night. When you just want to have fun, and nothing else really matters, your whole view of the world can change. I stopped thinking about girls as means of proving myself, and I started to see them as human beings, that as Cindy Lauper once said “Just wanna have Fun”. Everything seemed easier and more relaxed, cause it was all a big playground to tease and flirt with girls. Since that day I have experienced great nights, when my pick ups are pure gold, and even random guys that just happen to be there have fun watching me. Maybe it seems simple, just have fun sounds like stupid advice, but actually its not an easy thing to achieve, it requires commitment, discipline and being down to earth. The best advice I can give to anyone is "Have Fun", if you are not having fun then you are doing something wrong. |

Awesome post buddhist texts are inner game gold and yet everyone seems to avoid them, weird. I keep recommending Shambhala: Sacred Path of the Warrior by Chogyam Trungpa, because to be perfectly honest I only read 2 chapter and yet after reading it felt invincible and so comfortable in myself. I probably would have walked bollock naked through town if someone asked me to. |

Good to see people are finally catching on to what I've been saying for over a year now! "If you aren't having fun, you aren't doing it right!" ~ Rye Lee |

It's absolutely true that oriental philosophy, with all that Karma and Zen things, helps you improve your inner game. Almost the same thing happened to me; I'm very interested in that stuff - I even go to Taichi classes. That will make you believe in yourself, feeling more comfortable and calmed in public places, that's it, reducing your AA. And I believe that sarging is just a way of focusing that inner game you've earned towards something useful -getting chicks. |

Good post, but it isn't wise to boil down pick up to a bumber sticker slogan. The PU life isn't always fun, nor should it be. Since I've started this stuff, I've had to break up with girls, I've made a lot of stupid mistakes, I've hurt people, second guessed my motives, and really have had to force myself out of my comfort zone, which can be like pulling teeth sometimes. It's good and bad, thats what makes it so dynamic and hopefully, ultimately fulfilling. But hey, if there has to be a bumber sticker slogan, at least yours isn't a bad one. Good job. |

Again, I restate:"If you aren't having FUN, then you aren't doing it right!" ~ Rye Lee Sure, life can be hard, but you shouldn't be morally conflicted, hurting people, or yourself in the process. By having fun in life all the time and being positive and enjoying it to the fullest, it doesn't matter what you are doing, or where you are; you are an attractive person that is enjoyable to be around. You can break off relationships without ever hurting anyone, as they understand your intentions are never to hurt anyone and that you are merely doing what is best for your happiness as well as yours. People will appreciate this and love you more for it. By embracing the attitude of always having fun and if you're not having fun, you're not doing it right, then you live life to the best of your ability all the time, while achieving massive success in everything you do. Redmole, I'm really happy to see you realising how amazing life is when you're positive and happy, because there was a time when I was worried you might veer off into "the dark side" of pickup. You're only gonna keep being exponentially more happy and successful in life as well as with women! |

Good shit man. I was thinking this exact same thing recently. I was putting so much emphasis on success, talking to girls whenever I was in public, feeling like a failure if I didn't approach some girl, and generally just beating myself up and thinking way too hard. I started doing exactly what you said: just having fun. It works so well now. I'm much less stressed, more calm and relaxed, and I can actually enjoy myself socially instead of feeling like I'm falling behind or proving myself. |
