Post subject:  Need a smooth entrance

Ok here is the situation, There is this new girl(HB 10) that works at the club I'm at. We work in different departments. I work on the golf course she works in Tennis. She is usually the first one to get in to Tennis so she is typically by herself in there for the first hour.

I want to introduce myself but I need a smooth entrance when I meet her. We take care of landscape around Tennis so I think that has potential as a reason to come in there. I don't want her to think I specifically came to see her.

I hear she just moved from colorado and has a boyfriend. She seems super friendly from brief time I spent with her at a big club meeting. However I was not able to isolate and talk with her at the meeting.

Need some advice fellas!

Just start talking bro.

Go up to her..eye contact, smile, a nod of the head.

Just say Hi. You're not doing anything really..it's perfect if nothing's going on.

You could say:

Hey, it just got quiet over at the golf course.
Wow.. I thought I met everyone here by now..
Are you new here?

If she says no, you could poke fun at her..say she must be shy or something. If she says yes, introduce yourself, act like the cool person, DHV, and if you've got some night out with your friends, invite her along.

It's not hard to look good when nobody else is around, and on the plus side, who is going to socially tear you apart at work? Nobody else wants their ass fired. You're the AMOG, bro.

I agree. You work with her, that's the situational opener.

You don't need any other reason. But don't fawn over her and be too nice. Typically acting very dissociated works really well.

I used to work at the tennis courts of a country club and it was always so boring in the morning because you have to be there so early. I would have loved if people just came in to talk....just go and talk about anything.

Why not? Why do you need a smooth entrance? Make it as rough and social pressured and awkward as you possible can. Well, maybe not AWKWARD, but... just stop trying to HIDE.
