| Post subject: | Discovering Your Ideal You |
What is it that truly causes women to be attracted to men? Money, looks, assertiveness, confidence, humor, social proof, sexual prowess, power, prominence, fame? No... it's none of these things, these are symptoms of the true values that are attractive. Is your arm broken because it hurts... or does it hurt because it's broken? The true values that create attraction are the causes, not the symptoms. The true values are being centered, passionate, driven and being able to achieve what you set out to do... being a true closer. Also there is good news... the causes... are easier to develop in yourself then the symptoms are anyway... and as a direct result of enstilling these root values the others, the symptoms, will naturally mature and present themselves. "Yeah, oh-kay cool Doc... but how do I get started developing these qualities in myself?" You may be wondering now... Well my friend I'm glad you asked. You must discover and then work to become your ideal you. First things first... in order to start a successful journey we must determine our destination. Who do you want to be when you grow up? God thats a scary question isn't it? It doesn't matter if your 10 or 50... most people can't answer that question honestly. They simply float down the river of life letting the currents guide them wherever it will... but the elite, the great, the legendary, those who have lead truly exceptional lives know... that if you want to get to the beach (or avoid the rocks), you have to put your oar in and guide yourself... and at times paddle like hell. Oh-kay on to the basics of finding your true self, your ideal self, the big red "X" on your treasure map. This step is directly linked to one of the 4 core values of attraction and success in general... that value is passion. We must start by finding our passions. The easiest first step is to simply sit down and write up a list of things you enjoy... once you have this list start delving deeper into the things you enjoy the most to the least first to last... as you do this you will continually find offshoots psuedo-enjoyments if you will... add those to your list as well, and keep delving, hunting, searching for that all important treasure to build the map of your life around. Once you've found 1 or more things that get you truly excited, it's time to dream build... visualize yourself living your life 1 or 2 or 5 or 10 years from now, fully encompassing your passions... see the people, the places, the material objects, the activities... see this in your mind as it all revolves around your passion... as Anthony Robbins would say "Your Magnificent Obsession"... Don't hold anything back nothing is unrealistic... right now is not the time to worry about the how, or about whats practical or not... now is the time to create the ultimate why. Now that you've seen that life, what type of person where you in your ideal life? How would that feel to be wake up every morning knowing with certainty that you are living your dream? How would it feel to be your ideal you? If the prospect and the visualization hasn't gotten you excited near to the point of being nearly ecstatic then you should go back and reevaluate your passions. Now a quick assignment, I want you to go through and actually do these excersizes... don't just read them... actually do it, do it right now just as I've described here... once you've done this you'll have started on your journey to becoming your ideal self. Life is the biggest treasure hunt we can ever go on, but it's all worth it when your hunting for the greatest possible treasure each of us can individually imagine. -- This has been a condensed excerpt of content from section 1 of my up coming book "The Little Lexicon of Attraction"-- |
