I'm 20 years old, about to be 21 in August. I have a fake id so I can go to the bars and what not, but I always have a fear of getting caught. I look like I'm 20-21 and everyone in this town is 18 and under, still in highschool, or graduated and in their profession. (23-28) Its a high rent district (newport beach), so I think that's what keeps most of the kids out of the area. There is a community college I will be attending in the next town over once school starts. I joined a gym today, but everyone is so serious about their workouts, as am I, and I didn't see anyone my age. I moved down here because it seemed like there was a lot of business opportunities and there is, but again I just got a job at a marketing firm where you need a BA or BS, and everyone there is 23 or older. I want to get a bicycle to ride around, but I've spent all my available funds for the month, or until I get my paycheck. I don't have a bed or anything. I can't rent a uhual or anything, I dont have a truck. I just got up and left town. Which cost me over $3500. So I got a job at a restaurant in the next town over with the community college a couple nights a week to hopefully meet some people, but I'm running out of ideas. I just sit on my computer all day except to go to the gym or grocery store AND the freakin beach is less 1/2 mile away arg. Im close to posting a personal ad on craigslist, I dont want to spend the fourth alone. My roommates are cool, but all in their professions one is 28 the other is 40 so as fun as they are, I still need someone closer in age. HELP please. |

hey man im from san diego, but I have alot of family in the long beach area, and friends in newport/ huntington and such. There is a ton of things to do in that area, I would just go out and meet as many people as possible, whether it be at the community college or at the gym. Sometimes a good skate down the boardwalk is a good one, if you skate. You can always meet many interesting people at the beach. I also think the beach is one of the easiest places to meet people. Or like you said, get a bicycle. Good luck, im not sure how much I helped |
