Post subject:  Cant get over your oneitis? Read this.
"Oneitis" is the reason I found this community. It was(is) my biggest game killer. I know many on this board can relate. When you have "oneitis" it often times feels like life is shit, everything is outta wack and the world just fucking sucks.

Perspective is key. Sometimes GFTOW is not the cure nor always possible. So I came up with this saying. I posted this in another thread, it has helped me, and a few other friends out. I will tell myself this over and over when I have "oneitis".

This just helps put things back into perspective and add balance to the emotions I have rushing through my body. Sometimes your "oneitis" is a paragraph or chapter, so adjust as needed.

I never really experienced oneitis, yeah I wondered why a girl might not like me the way I like her but I know I would never know unless I ask which I don't so I moved on yet I've seen it's effects first hand when it happened to a close friend who I meet during my freshmen year of high school, his name is Will, well we hung out every once in awhile since I had to go practice a lot but everytime we hung out he would always try to "be with" this girl that all my friends from neighborhood were friends with. She was pretty slutty, so most of us wouldn't hit that in fear of VD but of course Will all obsessing over her didn't care yet even though she was slutty she didn't let him do anything. Yet, one day some dumbass we knew was fucking around with her during a house party and he was around there too, she was getting fucked with no condizzle and when he came to that realization what had occurred twenty minutes later he went apeshit crazy and went out to kick his ass. It took pretty much all our friends to calm him down. He thought he might be blamed for possibly impregnanting her since they were family friends and everyone knew he wanted some of that and might think she finally gave in. But he finally got over her after that year and life went on with no drama and no one had to restrain him from kicking somebody's ass ever again. It took him awhile to figure out that when your friends need to stop you from possibly beating a guy till' he's dead that a girl is not worth it. So if this story doesn't discourage you from chasing a girl who you know doesn't want to have a romantic relationship then I guess you need some therapy :roll:
