Post subject:  my friend has oneitis
He has a crush on this girl. he deeply likes her. he told her that. then she heard he was going to ask her to prom but then she asked a freshman. were juniors. but then a couple weeks later the freshman didnt want to go to prom with her and then she told my friend that she made a mistake and wants to go to prom with him and he said yes. after that, she got back together with her old bf who treats her like shit.

he broke up with her, fucked another girl, then once he got bored with that chick he went back to the girl my friend likes. he told her how sorry he was and she actually took him back even though her friend saw him buying condoms with another chick. my friend and the chick he likes are still going to prom together. she told my friend that this situation is making her life hell so he told her that he would back out and quit talking to her for a while but she told him that "she really likes him and wants to kiss him, but she cant".

my friend is really confused and sad and he dosent know what to do. i didnt even know what to tell him.

what do you think he should do? i told him that i would think about it tonight and get back to him tomorrow. so please comment and give suggestions. he needs your help

some of you might think that im saying its a friend but its actually me.. no your wrong. its a friend. if it were me, she wouldnt have to choose. that other guy wouldnt even be in the picture... but im not going to tell my friend that

i dont get why you wont tell your friend that..i mean if you wont..who will???

can he not just find some other date for the prom? i knw the whole one-itis thing..but the chick is clearly just using him.. if you dont say anything he's just going to be a tool..you have to clarify that to him..

i dont know what else to say for now..your friend has to realise that shes not that great after all..shes messing him up big time. i think you should be upfront to him about it. even if it seems harsh and he doesnt want to hear it

I've never understood why anyone would go online and keep their first name anonymous. Anyway about your question or issue whatever you want to call it. Your friend is obviously an AFC - he has no value for a woman and will sit by her side even is she fucks another man right in front of him. Some AFCs are like alcoholics or heroin addicts - you can't help them until they are willing to help themselves.

Much in the way that your friend is addicted to this woman, the woman is chemically addicted to this alpha male. This is a tough nut to crack; the best thing he can do is grow a spine and walk away. He's not going to get anywhere trying to "win her affections" as we were all taught to by our mothers. He obviously has no other options with women and no social value that would make this girl ever consider taking him (I say this because I have been there) and sometimes you have to be willing to hurt someone to get them to help themselves.

ight heres what i decided to do. im going to tell him to grow a pair.

not literally but im going to say that if you really like her, talk to her. tell her that her bf is a fucking douche to her and she deserves better. its very AFC of me to tell him to say such a thing but i dont care if its not the pua way. it seems like the right thing to do. shes not using him. i know this girl and she really does deserve better than that fucking asshole bf. and if she dosent want to be with him then im going to tell him to just walk away.
