| Post subject: | What do you do after the opener? |
After over 6 months of learning the game I decided to jump into the field and open sets. My goal is 5 sets a day. I drove out to a mall only trying to face my fear of the approach. I wanted to approach 5 sets a day even if nothing happened. I wanted to approach strangers and engage them. I succeded for 2 days and realized it was time for me to take it further than just- hey I need an opinion. ok thanks. Since I only wanted to open I used the cologne opener. It, and many other routines, say "have something to follow immediately" can anyone help me figure out what exactly that means? |

After you open you should have DHV story or at least a funny story that happened to you that day. Everytime I open and I get their answer I jump right into a story of what happened to me that day, I use the same one and it has never failed me. Usually after the story they are opening up. So just come up with a story that is funny and just go right into it. Good luck. |

If using the opener say that you were preparing to do something later. Then DHV. Give a story that makes you special and then back it up. |

"it means u should say reason why u ask them that." Yes I did that. What do I do after that? Quote: If using the opener say that you were preparing to do something later. Then DHV. Give a story that makes you special and then back it up.
Can someone elaborate this? What I think he means is to go "and thats the reason I asked, (that is where I finish giving the reason for the opener) ...so i was going to this party later tonight and (DHV)(Backup DHV)"Is that what he meant? |

Ok here are few tips: 1) Begin by opening at a night spot (bars, clubs etc.) the people there are more inclined to continue sharing thier time with you...afterall thats why they went out to meet people! The Mall is a different. The people there, are at the mall to shop or to chill with friends, they usually have time constraints and wont be able to hang around long enough for you to demonstrate siginificant value *Unless your damm good, which takes some practice*. 2) Roll with a crew: It is far better to be seen as being part of social group then by yourself with no social value. *Think Tribal leader. 3) Don't worry about having DHV stories backed up in your head, If you are a cool guy your life experiences should be interesting enough to keep a convo going and the stories should have DHV spikes in them anyway...The conversation should be fairly new each time, I find that people who use DHV stories try and stick to the material and this looks really cheesy when they keep on the same thread for too long...[staying on the one thread for too long is a deal-breaker..] And as for What to do next?... The process of Attraction is this...1 Open, 2 Demonstrate Value (in opener, and conversation, throw in a disqualifyer/neg to show your only just talking to her), 3 when she has shown ioi's and has mentioned a specific attribute of hers not pertaining to her looks you may then begin to show interest in the target... SO for me when I'm out the whole thing looks more like this: Open -->Talk ---> Joke ---> Dance --> Kiss --> Bounce--> Talk--> Bounce Home with chick--> or organise to meet again I hope that helps |

Sort of. You just throw yourself into a story, like this: [opener] Them: "Such and such answer" You: "Oh right, thanks. Hey, get this guys, the wierdest thing just happened to me, I was ...(DHV)" Just get into a story as if you are talking to old friends and the opener was just some other thing you were talking about a second ago. When talking to friends, try to pay attention to the way you and other people transition into different stories. It should work just like that. |

"Just get into a story as if you are talking to old friends and the opener was just some other thing you were talking about a second ago." was what I needed to hear. This was really a wall for me and that was like putting my wrist against my forehead and going "Duh". I'll try it out and see if it takes me farther and gets me some XP points lol. |

everyone is forgetting a lot. opener,.. depending on how hard she hooks on your opener. STACK, with another routine. e.g. heres one for you that I used when I first started. PUA: I have a very quick question, and i have to leave asap. I want a female perspective on this. My friend and his girl have been dating for 6 months, she goes out to the bar and kisses another guy is that cheating? Target: blah blah PUA: (STACK) take the same scenerio, but this time she makes out with other women and does this a lot. is that cheating? Target: blah blah PUA: (DHV STACK) Hey I like your take on things. Me and my girl friends tell chris all the time to think out of the box about this situation. Surprisingly my other female friends opinions vary from yours and there seems to be a wide variety of answers. Since I like your opinion, maybe you can help me out. (STACK) memorize.. just work on delivery. Delivery is way more important than the question itself. =) <---- don't forget to smile |
