Post subject:  new study on marriage = sweet C&F line
I heard about a new study on the radio today that found the best marriages are those where women marry men who are less attractive than themselves.

I immediately recognized the potential for C&F and tested it out a few times at work:

Me: (in forlorn kind of tone) I found out some bad news today...

HB: (sounding concerned) Oh no, really?

Me: Yeah... they came out with this new study that shows the happiest marriages are those where the woman is more attractive than the man.

HB: um... yeah?.... so?

Me: sigh... I guess that means you and I are never going to work out.

HB: ::laughs and throws pen at me::


I used it a few times on different girls and it seemed to get good reactions... actually one time it turned into an interesting conversation about why it is true.
