| Post subject: | Gunwitch vs. Mystery |
Just got finished reading a lot of Gunwitch's material, and a lot of it strikes me as the polar opposite of Mystery's. Gunwitch - don't approach sets, just lone wolves Mystery - exact opposite Gunwitch - no "chick crack" Mystery - a whole lotta that shit! Plus there's a more of a reveling in the sexual on Gunwitch's part. He is proud of the fact that we're all sexual beings, that women want sex, and there is nothing shameful about any of that. He even attacks many of our still-prevailing Puritan social norms. Mystery strikes me as the guy who doesn't want to be seen as a creep, hence the negs and disqualifiers. I think they're great, but Gunwitch has some interesting stuff! |

Good preview Kozinator. Just wanna add Gunwitch=direct game with very little subtlety, Mystery=indirect game that requires the player to calibrate when he SOI's and goes direct in order to close. |

You COULD say... GWM -> Day Game MM -> Night Game In Day Game, there are a looooot of single sets while in Night Game there are a loooot of sets. |

I'd venture to disagree on one point... if someone approached me with the sexual direct game GWM is so proud of, I'd either mace him or get skeeved out. GWM -> Day Game MM -> Night Game In Day Game, there are a looooot of single sets while in Night Game there are a loooot of sets. Day Game is about direct game, I agree. But it's about rapport, not sexual frame, in my humble opinion. |

You just watch Zip, one day you'll be shopping at the supermarket, I'll approach you from 6 o'clock, put my hand on your shoulder, and BAM comment on how sexy your ankles look. |

i like gunwhich method. ive read his book and listened to his audio course you can totally tell this guy knows his stuff his game is all about sexual state projection, He get women all horny talking about mundain topics MM is in my oppinion flawed because the game is not linear like mystery says its affected by everything and the 7 hour rule is ridiculous, if you want to be really good i wouldn't use Gunwhich method or MM i would use RSD and Brad p these are the new guys pioneering new technology |

But it's about rapport, not sexual frame, in my humble opinion. Gunwitch would be pissed if he read that. I was talking to him in the mASF chatroom not too long ago and he was on a rant of how almost all of the pickup "gurus" misinterpret his method to be simply cavemanning or just all about the sexual state when it's so much more complicated with all these psychological concepts, etc. I understand what he's talking about because I have his audio course, Way of Gun, and I for one can say that it's not exactly "sexual direct game" in broad daylight as you may be imagining it. Funny enough, Gunwitch says that the only other guru he respects is Ross Jeffries because apparently RJ actually took the time to understand GWM fully. You would know that GWM works because, straight from the horses mouth, Gunwitch says that he primarily does Day Game. He doesn't like sarging the night clubs so much. By the way, have you read GWM 1, 2, and 3, Zip? I actually haven't taken the time to do that yet, but I will. |

I've had very direct day game used on me, while at work no less. It depends on the guy making the approach as well as the girl being approached as to whether it is percieved as skeevy or creepy or whether it is accepted as "acceptable". ~Cali |

Cali and Chief, I love when people point out something to me that I didn't think was possible or even valid. Thanks! Looks like Zip will be doing some research, which is my first love. |

The thing about direct game is that you still have to use push/pull. Many guys forget this and then things go wrong. |

This topic actually got me interested in Gunwitch's material, as previously I had based my understanding of his ideas on the opinions of others, specifically the heavily/overtly sexual approach, and simply dismissed it as I didn't think I could pull it off. After reading a bit of his writing, I now understand it's WAY deeper than that. A lot of ideas that the community simply accepts as fact he either disregards or completely dismisses. I don't feel comfortable either agreeing or disagreeing with him at this point, but I think his ideas and logic are certainly worthy of consideration by EVERYONE interested in pick up. If for no other reason than that it's a perspective that seems so far removed MM that it might spur some revelations of your own. |

There is no VS, mystery would destroy him in field. |

I think "vs" is being used as comparison in this case, not competition. And even if it were, I'm not really sure how you would score it. In any case, if you take a home a HB and she isn't walking right for a week. Who cares how you did it. Do what WORKS for you. |
