Post subject:  What if i dont want to act like a douche PUA?
I feel like PUA styles (cocky funny) tend to be douchey. What are some techniques that are more "nice guy"? There has to be other attractive qualities to women besides being an ass

Look into books to solidify your confidence or like some call, "inner game." When you are rock solid and comfortable with yourself, you can do whatever the fuck you want and not care about outcomes.

It's more about being congruent and bringing out the best of your individual style and personality - you don't have to be a "douche", just like you don't have to be anything. There are certain underlying mindsets and behavioural principles, but then we have to gain first-hand experience in our interactions and make adjustments to find the best results.

Also, being more dominant (masculine role) and cocky/funny flirting doesn't make you a "douche" (if your interpretation of douche is bad person with bad intentions). You should still have good intentions, just be more assertive and leading, and stand up for yourself, and don't be afraid to command and challenge when need be.

But that's just like, David de Angelo, man! PUA is a lot bigger than that! What about the other schools of pick up? What about Mystery? What about natural gaming? No one said you absolutely have to be cocky and funny! (although sometimes, it just feels good to be a SICK CUNT)

You can be both cocky funny and a nice guy at the same time. Just tone it down a bit, with the tounge in cheeck. I've always thought that to be cocky and funny is a skill I still need to learn, until I realized that my sense of humor is just like that (sometimes at least), even though I consider myself a nice guy. I never offend anyone.

A douche, in the girl mind, is a guy who doesn't commit to her when she feels she deserves commitment, or a guy that hurts her feelings.

If you are living life on your own terms, you will be in both of those situations from time to time.

Nice guys give girls constant, same-kind, linear types of emotions. You're really not triggering anything pleasurable for girls to remember you by.

Once you learn to give girls the gift of the dopamine hit where you magnify pleasure and associate pleasure with your presence, then you can be a PUA without being a douche.

Being sexual is pleasurable to both sexes. Do that and you give girls the gift of the dopamine hit.

Don't bring up depressing topics. Sell fun and excitement every time you're around and you're not being a douche.

Make girls cum multiple times. This kind of dopamine hit will keep girls happily doing nice things for you without you demanding anything.

How does...

...making a girl laugh,
...being clear with your intentions from the start,
...not being afraid of your sexuality,
...and being an interesting and challenging personality, count as being a douche? It's just what women want.


You know what's being a douche?

Pretending to be her friend when in reality you want to fuck her(be her boyfriend. almost the same thing as you are lying).
Cheating on her.(not to be confused with having multiple gfs when they know about each other)
Leading her on to think you want something serious when you just want to bang. (not to be confused with only wanting to bang and being upfront with it)
Not accepting that she doesn't want you.
Lying to her to get into her pants.

^These, I believe are mostly outruled by modern PUA theory, so I don't really get how PUA teaches us to be douches... It teaches the exact opposite.

This sort of reminds me of a post I created a while back regarding confidence vs arrogance, and I believe Hellhound made a statement that it depends on the perception of the person. I think this is a case of where a person of lower status would look at the person being cocky and funny as being a douche, whereas, someone of equal status sees him as someone who isn't afraid to be himself and speak his mind.

Another thing, cocky and funny isn't about being a jerk, it's about being genuinely funny (clever observation, etc.), not knocking someone down to make yourself look better.
