Alright, this is a pretty simple idea that alot of younger guys out there especially fail to realize... Time is money. Time is pussy. Time is EVERYTHING. As I get older, I realize that time flies by quicker and quicker. Hours turn into days. Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months. Months turn into years... You get the idea. You don't get that time back. Ever. Ok, so here's my point to this post... every second of your day should have some type of purpose to get you to the next "level" of where you want to be in life. If you want to be filthy rich, realize you're probably NOT going to win the lottery. You've gotta get out there and make it happen to get that money. If you want tons of women, you can't expect them to just fall into your lap. (figuratively speaking) You've gotta get out there and make it happen to get some pussy. The amount of time that guys these days waste of their life playing Grand Theft Auto 5 or doing other useless bullshit to keep them entertained is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I'm almost 26 years old and I look back at some of the people I went to highschool with and see them as some of the LAZIEST PIECES OF SHIT out there. I see this all over the place. Then they bitch, piss and moan about how bad their life sucks, how they can't get laid, they're broke, they still live with their parents, whatever the bitching may be about... They aren't doing ANYTHING to fix it. It's just video game after video game with a bit of porn in between to aid them in shooting their sorrows into a rag. Here's what I'm saying guys... stop bitching and start doing something. I'll give you an example... You spend 4 hours a day playing GTA 5... complain that you never get laid. Hmmm... Here's an grand idea, instead of wasting your life away on the couch. Go out and talk to some girls for those 4 hours. Work on getting some ass. OR You spend 4 hours a day playing GTA 5... complain that you're broke and still live at home... GET OUT OF YOUR PARENTS HOUSE AND START MAKING SOME MONEY. DO SOMETHING! All I'm saying is this generation of laziness and bitchiness has REALLY got to stop. Quit dreaming. Start living. |

That laziness you talk about seems to be somewhat age related, isn't it? I used to be like that myself. Today, at the age of 35, I'm living my dream with my beautiful girlfriend (funny enough I met her only 3 months after breaking up with my ex, when I got into pickup). I have (almost) everything I want in life, and can consider myself quite successful. This leads me to my question... How common do you think it is that people at my age or older are still sitting on their asses playing games complaining about their lives? I actually know some people who fit that description. |

I don't know if it's necessarily age related but I will say it probably has to do something with this generation of people. Everyone wants "hand outs" and free shit. Nobody wants to work hard for anything these days. They want the reward but they don't want anything to do with the work. And to answer your question.... I'd say its more common than most people think. Like I said, I'm almost 26. But alot of my friends are older... As I start to get older, I realize what losers they have become and how I've passed them up in the game of "life" because they just still sit around playing video games and shit. It goes to show you that laziness is a habit. |

This is a huge obstacle that we all have to overcome the obstacle but the question is HOW? Do you got any tips? |

You've really just gotta start doing SOMETHING. To change a habit, you have to destroy the old habit and create a new one. The best advice I can give you is start taking action in life. Stop thinking so much about what you "want to do" and actually just do it. An object in motion tends to stay in motion... Once you start taking action, you don't stop. I'll give you an analogy.... It's like someone who wants to start working out... The first month or so might be difficult. But after you get into the swing of things and create a habit of going to the gym X amount of days during the week, it becomes a thing that you just do naturally. It's second nature. You just do it instead of thinking about it. |

You can play GTA but as long as it doesn't get out if control, life is about variety and balance, you can even spend TOO much time sarging. A guy who plays GTA 4 hours a day is too much, a guy who sarges 4 hours a day is too much, a guy who works too hard is too much. Go to work 9-5, go have a few drinks after work with mates and sarge a bit, go home play GTA for an hour and call your fuckbuddy a go a round or two with her, thats where its at. |

Man your posts just always inspire me. These days I spend little by little time on the internet compared to where I used to be. The 10,000 hour rule applies here too, in order to be good at something you have to dedicate that much time to it. What is worse is when you don't know what to dedicate your time to. |

People can do whatever they want. I enjoy many things in life. I like cooking, playing video games, studying language, drinking whiskey, gambling, playing with animals, fishing, having sex, sleeping, napping, and driving in my car towards no particular location. You are correct in that people should focus towards their goals rather than just talk about their goals. However, this "lighting a fire" under people is just aggressive and annoying. You would probably succeed in motivating others more by inspiring them than mocking them. Everybody wants a hand-out is the insulting way to put it. Basic economics dictates that people look to achieve their goals for the lowest cost. Everything has a cost, and people who value more than one thing choose where to spend their time based on the costs. You can't have everything you want, the moment you choose A, you give up B. I can't figure you out. You don't offer enough substantial advice in a reasonable manner to appear to want to help people. You don't brag enough to suggest you are here to stroke your own ego. My only guess is you are here to yell at people without technically raising your voice. You're looking for a handout, too. You talk as if you have already earned everyone's respect. Everybody wants handouts for everything, I guess, including respect. However, respect is earned by showing it to others. Maybe this entire forum needs a serious kick in the ass, because there's too much chest-thumping thinly veiled by claims of being "alpha" that prevents people from showing each other the level of respect needed to work together for collective improvement. |

Cool man. You're happy with your life. That's all that matters. This post wasn't geared towards you.Quote: You are correct in that people should focus towards their goals rather than just talk about their goals. People NEED a fire lit under their ass. People need to feel uncomfortable or uneasy. That's the only way you truly have the ability to go out and make it happen. My way of motivating people is by lighting a fire under peoples asses. I am mocking the people who bitch, moan, and complain about their lives and do nothing about it because it's PATHETIC. Quote: I can't figure you out. You don't offer enough substantial advice in a reasonable manner to appear to want to help people. You don't brag enough to suggest you are here to stroke your own ego. I'll simplify it for you... I'm here to help people. I'm here to help people in the best way that I possibly can. If you don't like it, don't read it. Nobody is twisting your arm.Quote: You're looking for a handout, too. You talk as if you have already earned everyone's respect. Everybody wants handouts for everything, I guess, including respect. That's where you've got me all wrong.... I'm not the type of person who WANTS hand outs. I work hard for everything I have and accomplish in my life and I appreciate myself and the hard work that I put into it to accomplish what I've accomplished. I've never been the type of person who WANTED SHIT DONE FOR ME. I LOVE working hard to accomplish things because, quite honestly, it makes me feel good about myself. I too have had a fire lit under my ass and that was what helped me become more successful. I've lived on the streets of one of the roughest cities in the U.S. I've lived out of my car, slept on the train, been through shit that you couldn't even imagine to become successful because I had no other choice. I've had times where I couldn't afford to even eat anything more than something off the dollar menu at McDonalds. I would spend 16-18 hours a day sitting at a Starbucks working on developing programs and helping people... I did all of that and went through all of that because I had a fire lit underneath my ass too. And putting myself through what I've been through and even the "struggle" I continue to put myself through is what makes me more and more successful, day by day. I embrace the struggle and I embrace the hustle. Because that "fire under my ass" made me the strong person I am today. My entire point of this post and honestly my way of helping people is to create hustlers. To create men who will do whatever it takes to make it happen... whatever that goal or mission in life may be. And as far as "respect"... I have the utmost respect for every guy on this forum who actually does something to improve their success with women and become more successful in all aspects of life (because that's what you have to do. Success with women means you are successful in other areas too. Give your own definition to success.) but the guys out there who just bitch and moan about how bad their life sucks and do NOTHING about it, I don't have respect for those people. Plain and simple. I don't embrace excuses. I don't hold peoples hands and tell them "everything is going to be okay." If you want something in life, you go out and you make it happen. Period. |

Tough sports coaches talk somewhat like Majikal. You are correct in that people should focus towards their goals rather than just talk about their goals. In competitive sports, these kinds of masculine talk gets you performing more than usual. Heywood sometimes talk this way to help out some newbie. So does Retired Rodeo. It's pretty normal. Even in marketing as a trainee fresh out of college, I used to have this boss who talked this way and his team was one the high performance teams in the company. It's masculine pep talk. |

There is more than one way to help people, you can kick them, or give them a helping hand. Off course you need to calibrate which you go. Also one must accept some have accepted their fate and do not wish to change. Cool. |

Great post Majika. As I got older, I realized that comfort is the mortal enemy of progress. Comfort takes away the emotion that fuels your ambition to improve - pain. Although......I do feel grateful to the guys who play games at home and leaving all those lonely women for me to have fun with. Al |
